Additional Leave for Shift Workers. Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime. Additional Leave for Shift Workers. An employee who is a 7 day shiftworker who is regularly rostered to work on Sundays and Public Holidays is entitled to 1 additional week of annual leave for each year of service.
Additional Leave for Shift Workers. In addition to the leave prescribed, 7 day shift workers, that is shift workers who are rostered to work regularly on Sundays and public holidays, will be allowed one week's leave including non- working days. Where an Employee with one year's continuous employment is engaged for part of the yearly period as a 7 day shift worker, the Employee will be entitled to have the period of annual leave prescribed increased by half a day for each month employed as a seven-day shift worker. An Employee who is engaged for part of any year as a 7 day shift worker, and whose employment is terminated, must be paid, in addition to any other amounts due, an additional amount equal to 1/49 of ordinary pay in respect of the period of employment as a 7 day shift worker.
