Additional Leave definition

Additional Leave means an additional leave provided to workers who are rostered to work a seven day continuous roster. Employees can cash out Annual Leave in accordance with employer policy and with employer approval. Without exception a minimum balance of 4 weeks (20 days) Leave must be maintained. Payment for cashed out leave will be at the rate the employee would have been paid if they took the Leave.

Examples of Additional Leave in a sentence

  • Additional Leave or leave in the case of the death of other close relatives, may be granted without pay, and for such period of time as in the discretion of the Division Leader may be deemed feasible.

  • For Compassionate Leave, Family Medical Leave, Additional Leave or Domestic Leave, the employee shall submit their request directly to Human Resources.

  • An administrator injured as the result of an assault committed by a student or parent or guardian of a student shall be eligible for Additional Leave Days.

  • Part‑time employees will accrue Additional Leave on a pro rata basis according to their contracted ordinary hours only.

  • Additional Leave accrued according to this clause will only be paid at the Employee’s ordinary hourly rate of pay, and will not include any shift allowances, overtime, leave loading or any other additional allowances.

  • Additional Leave with pay may be granted upon written request to the appropriate Vice President.

  • The City’s policies regarding the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) of 1993 and its subsequent amendments and Additional Leave are set forth and controlled by the City’s Civilian Employee Personnel Policy Handbook.

  • Additional Leave without pay may be granted at the discretion of the Employer.

  • Bargaining unit employees will accrue Paid Sick Leave (PSL) at the rate of 3.68 hours for each biweekly payroll period for which they have at least 80 hours of credited service (including hours actually worked, paid holidays, approved Paid Time Off, approved Paid Sick Leave, paid Additional Leave days and other approved paid leaves of absence under this Agreement).

  • Additional Leave with pay beyond the ninety (90) hours may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
