Use of Supplier’s design. The Supplier is to comply with the specifications as stated in the standard 240-128700801 Technical Evaluation Criteria and Technical Specifications Standard 240-45395762 for pole and ground mounted transformers.

Manufacture & fabrication Although the Purchaser does not usually prescribe how the goods are to be manufactured and fabricated, if there are any specific requirements they could be stated here. Factory acceptance testing (FAT) Core Clauses 40 and 41 both make reference to the Goods Information regarding tests and inspections. There are often comprehensive requirements for testing at place of manufacture and before delivery. State whether the tests are to be witnessed by the Supply Manager or by a testing agency of the Purchaser’s nomination. Note, Supplier may not restrict Supply Manager’s right to witness tests per clause 25.2

Operating manuals and maintenance schedules All documents supplied by the Contractor shall be subject to Eskom’s approval. The language of all documentation shall be in English. The Contractor shall include the Employer’s drawing number in the drawing title block. This requirement only applies to design drawings developed by the Contractor and his Subcontractors. Drawing numbers will be assigned by the Employer as drawings are developed. The Contractor supplies the following manuals: Operating manual Maintenance manual The manuals conform to the specifications set out in this Works and are submitted to the Employer for acceptance Supply Requirements The Supply Requirements for this contract are in an Annexure to the Contract Data provided by the Purchaser.   • Use of sub-processors (a) The data importer has the data exporter’s general authorisation for the engagement of sub-processor(s) from an agreed list. The data importer shall specifically inform the data exporter in writing of any intended changes to that list through the addition or replacement of sub-processors at least thirty (30) days in advance, thereby giving the data exporter sufficient time to be able to object to such changes prior to the engagement of the sub-processor(s).
