INTRODUCTION In terms of section 16(1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85 of 1993) the Chief Executive Officer is responsible as far as is reasonably practicable to ensure that the duties of his employer as contemplated in the Act are properly discharged.
