UNION COMMITTEE AND REPRESENTATION. 8.01 The Union may elect or select a bargaining committee to a maximum of two (2). The two (2) committee members shall be paid their regular rate for all regularly scheduled working hours lost due to attending negotiation meetings with management, up to the time application is made for conciliation services and the services of the conciliation officer are used.

UNION COMMITTEE AND REPRESENTATION. 8.01 It is agreed that the Union will elect or otherwise select a Negotiating Committee consisting of two (2) employees to represent both full-time and part-time employees. All members of the Committee shall be employees of the Employer who have completed their probationary period who have completed their probationary period.

In order that this may be carried out, the Union will supply the Employer with the names of its committeepersons. The employees so designated shall perform the duties of stewards and one of the said stewards shall act as chief xxxxxxx. Each such employee shall have a minimum of six (6) months seniority. The Union acknowledges that the stewards and chief xxxxxxx have regular duties to perform on of the Employer and such persons will not leave their regular duties without notifyingtheir immediate supervisor. Each xxxxxxx or chief xxxxxxx may be permitted by his supervisor during working hours to his or her post during working hours to assist in the presentation of a grievance. Such consent shall not be unreasonably withheld by the supervisor. Any member of the Union committee may be allowed by the Employer such time as is necessary while in conference with the Employer respecting negotiations for any renewal or extension of this Agreement, or the presentation or processing of any grievance in accordancewith the provisions of this Agreement. It is understood and agreed that the Employer may at any time require that grievances be presented and processed outside of working hours if it considers that an undue amount of time is being consumed by any xxxxxxx or the chief xxxxxxx during working hours.
