MEASUREMENT OF WORK. 26.1.1 The Owner shall, except as otherwise stated, ascertain and determine by measurement the value of the work done in accordance with Contract. 26.1.2 All items having a financial value shall be entered in Measurement Book, Level Book, etc. prescribed by the Owner so that a complete record is obtained of all work performed under the Contract. 26.1.3 Measurement shall be taken jointly by the Owner and by the Contractor. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to provide equipments, labour and other things necessary for measurements. 26.1.4 Measurement record shall be signed by both parties immediately after completion of measurement 27.0 ACCESS TO SITE 27.1 Subject to security and safety requirements, reasonable access to the Site at all times, as is necessary to perform the Services in accordance with the terms of this Contract, shall be provided to the Contractor. 27.2 In the execution of the Services, no Person other than the Contractor or its duly appointed representative and workmen, shall be allowed to work at the Site, except by the special permission, in writing of the Owner. Contractor shall be solely responsible for the performance and cooperation of its representatives and workmen. 27.3 The Owner may allow access to other contractors for working in the Site without interfering with the Services of Contractor. 28.0 FIRE PROTECTION 28.1 The Contractor shall at all times comply with the HES Policy while performing the Services during the Term. Without prejudice to the obligation under the preceding sentence, the work procedures that are to be used during the performance of the Services shall be those which minimize fire hazards to the extent practicable. The Contractor shall ensure that combustible materials, combustible waste, rubbish and any Hazardous Material shall be collected and removed from the Site at least once each day. Fuel, oils and volatile or flammable materials shall be stored away from the equipment and materials storage areas in safe containers. Untreated canvas, paper, plastic or other flammable flexible materials shall not at all be used at Site for any purpose unless otherwise specified. MEASUREMENT OF WORK. The CONTRACTOR or his authorized site engineer shall be available at site at all reasonable times to take joint measurement of work done for the purpose of payment and shall also provide without any extra charges, the necessary measuring instruments and men.
MEASUREMENT OF WORK. Take and record measurements and perform calculations to determine pay quantities for invoicing for work performed. Take or convert all measurements of work according to United States customary measure. Unless otherwise specified, measure when the work is in place, complete, and accepted. Measure the actual work performed, except do not measure work outside the design limits or other adjusted or specified limits (staked limits). Measure structures to the lines shown on the plans or to approved lines adjusted to fit field conditions. Take measurements as described in Subsection 109.02 unless otherwise modified by the Measurement Subsection of the Section controlling the work being performed. SAMPLE Remeasure quantities if it has been determined that any portion of the work is acceptable but has not been completed to the lines, grades, and dimensions shown on the plans or established by the CO. Submit measurement notes to the CO within 24 hours of completing the work. For on-going work, submit measurement notes weekly. When work is not complete, identify the measurement as being an interim measurement. Submit the final measurement when the installation is completed. Measurement notes form the basis of the Government’s receiving report (see Subsection 109.08(d)). For lump sum items, submit documentation to support invoiced progress payment on a monthly basis. Use an acceptable format for measurement records. As a minimum, include the following information in all records of measurement:

MEASUREMENT OF WORK. 1 Unless otherwise specified, the Departmental Representative will measure the Work for the purpose of determining payment to the Contractor. .2 The Departmental Representative will request the Contractor to attend with the Departmental Representative in making measurements. .3 If the Contractor does not attend pursuant to clause 1.4.2, measurements made or approved by the Departmental Representative will be considered to be the correct measurement for such part of the Work. .4 The Departmental Representative will prepare survey records and drawings for payment purposes as the Work progresses. The Departmental Representative will request the Contractor to attend, within 14 days, to examine and verify such records and drawings. If the Contractor does not attend to examine and verify such records and drawings, they will be considered to be correct. .5 If, after attending pursuant to clause 1.4.2 or 1.4.4, the Contractor disagrees with such measurements or records or drawings, they will nevertheless be considered correct until the Contractor notifies the Departmental Representative of the aspects in which they are considered incorrect. On receipt of such notice, the Departmental Representative will review the measurements or records or drawings and either confirm or vary them. 1.5
