For my professional and personal safety. I understand that the School will monitor my use of the School’s network, digital technology and communications systems  I understand that the rules set out in this agreement also apply to use of these systems outside School (e.g. on school laptops or school email, via the BGS virtual desktop or VLE etc.)  I understand that the rules set out in the Agreement also apply to the transfer of personal data out of School in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998).  I understand that the School’s digital technology systems are primarily intended for educational use and that I shall only use the systems for personal or recreational use within the rules set out in the School’s Code of Conduct for staff  I have read, understood and agreed to the sections in the School’s Code of Conduct for staff relating to the use of the Internet, Email, Digital Images / Videos and Social Media  I have read and understood the School’s Communications, Development and Marketing Department’s guidance on Email, Use of Digital Images / Videos and Social Media  I shall not disclose my username or password to anyone else, nor shall I try to use any other person’s username and password. I understand that I should not write down or store a password where it is possible that someone may steal it  I shall immediately report any illegal, inappropriate or harmful material or incident which I become aware of I will be professional in my communications and actions when using the School’s ICT systems:  I shall communicate with others in a professional manner, avoiding aggressive or inappropriate language  I shall ensure that when I take or publish images of others, I shall only do so in accordance with the School’s policy on the use of digital images  I shall only communicate with students and parents about matters relevant to School life using official School systems; all such communications will be professional in tone and manner  I shall not engage in any online activity that may compromise my professional responsibilities I accept that I have a role to play in the School’s responsibility to provide safe and secure access to technologies and ensure the smooth running of the School:  Whenever I use my personal mobile devices in School, I shall follow the rules set out in this agreement, in the same way as if I was using School equipment. I will ensure that when I take a photo/video/sound recording, I will do so with their permission and in accordance with Great Leaps Adventure Educations Policy on the use of digital/video images. I will only communicate with young people/partner organisations and schools using official systems. Any such communication will be professional in tone and manner. I will not engage in any online activity that may compromise my professional responsibilities or the reputation of Great Leaps Adventure. When I use my personal hand held or other device/s (Laptops/mobile phones/USB devices etc), I will follow the rules set out in this agreement in the same way as if I was using Great Leaps Adventure equipment. I will also follow any additional rules set by Great Leaps Adventure about such use. I understand that the data protection policy requires that any staff or young persons data to which I have access will be kept private and confidential, except when it is deemed necessary that I am required by law or by Great Leaps Adventure policy to disclose such information to an appropriate authority. When using social networking sites and email outside of Great Leaps Adventure I understand that I have a professional responsibility when using social networking sites for personal use. As such I will refrain from making Great Leaps Adventure - related comments on social networking sites and under no circumstances will I refer to young people, parents or staff on social networking sites. I will never use social networking sites to communicate about Great Leaps Adventure related issues and should anyone attempt to make contact regarding a Great Leaps Adventure matter I will refer them to the appropriate channels via Great Leaps Adventure rather than answering directly.   • Sexual and Personal Harassment The Employer shall provide and the Union and Employees shall support a workplace free from personal or sexual harassment and any other harassment based on the protected characteristics set out in Article 2.04. The Employer shall maintain a policy on workplace harassment.

  • PROFESSIONAL AUTONOMY 1. Teachers shall, within the bounds of the prescribed curriculum, and consistent with effective educational practice have individual professional autonomy in determining the methods of instruction, and the planning and presentation of course materials in the classes of pupils to which they are assigned.

  • Personal Safety 1. The employer and the Union agree that students must be held accountable for their conduct in the classroom, on campus, and at school-sponsored events.

  • Sick and Personal Leave The Assistant Principal shall annually be entitled to twelve (12) days of sick leave and two (2) days of personal leave. Unused personal leave days will accumulate as sick leave days. Earned sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 340 days. Every sick day that is issued for the current school year and eventually not utilized during that school year will be multiplied by 1.5 at the end of the school year (e.g., 10 unused sick days on June 30, 2022 will be converted in a credit of 15 sick days for the Assistant Principal’s use.) This unused sick day multiplier will not be in effect during the four (4) years prior to retirement.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • Personal Illness Employees may use accumulated sick leave for hours off due to personal illness. The employee may be required to furnish a medical certificate from a qualified physician as evidence of illness or physical disability in order to qualify for paid sick leave as per District practice. Accumulated sick leave may also be granted for such time as is actually necessary for office visits to a doctor, dentist, optometrist, etc.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • Citizen Volunteer or Community Service Leave Leave without pay may be granted for community volunteerism or service.

  • PERSONAL AND ACADEMIC FREEDOM A. The personal life of a teacher is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the Board except as it may directly affect the efficient performance of assigned functions during the workday.

  • Personal Grievances A personal grievance is a particular type of employment relationship problem that normally must be raised with the employer within 90 days of the grievance arising. An employee may have a personal grievance where: ▪ They have been dismissed without good reason, or the dismissal was not carried out properly. ▪ They have been treated unfairly. ▪ Their employment or a condition of their employment has been affected to their disadvantage by an unjustified action of their employer. ▪ They have experienced sexual or racial harassment, or have been discriminated against because of their involvement in a union or other employee organisation, or have suffered duress over membership or non-membership of a union or other employee organisation. ▪ They have been discriminated against in terms of the prohibited grounds of discrimination under the Human Rights Act 1993.
