Effect of Leave. A Participant does not incur a Separation from Service if the Participant is on military leave, sick leave, or other bona fide leave of absence if the period of such leave does not exceed six (6) months or, if longer, the period for which a statute or contract provides the Participant with the right to reemployment with the Plan Sponsor. If a Participant’s leave exceeds six (6) months but the Participant is not entitled to reemployment under a statute or contract, the Participant incurs a Separation from Service on the next day following the expiration of such six (6) month period.
Effect of Leave. Should a leave, illness or alternate appointment (e.g., sabbatical, approved leave of absence, etc.) cause a substantial interruption or otherwise preclude a faculty member from completing the evaluation process, the faculty member will complete the evaluation process in the year subsequent to the faculty member’s return.
Effect of Leave. All requirements of the residency training program must be fulfilled prior to the completion of training. The Program Director is responsible to notify the Resident as to the effect of leave on their training timeline. Residents may be required to extend their length of training to meet all residency program requirements. The Residency Review Committee for the residency program and the Residency Program Director determine the length of training and training to be completed following a leave of absence. All requirements of the residents’ respective Board must be satisfied. Board requirements will take precedence over institutional leave of absence policies, when applicable. Specific specialty board information can be accessed through the PSHMC internet, the Graduate Medical Education office, or the program office.
Effect of Leave. The use of leave exceeding the time frames established by the School of Medicine or by the Program may require an extension of Resident's training in order for Resident to satisfy requirements for Program completion and eligibility to participate in specialty board examinations. Further information on the effects of leave and timely notice regarding the effects of leave are set forth in Section 2, XI of the Manual.
Effect of Leave. If the leave is for a period of sixty (60) calendar days or less, the teacher shall be entitled to return to the job previously held. Upon return from any longer leave, the teacher shall be assigned the same position if available or to an equivalent position if not.
Effect of Leave. If the employee is on approved leave that extends to the end of the Performance Excellence Cycle, a progress review and rating must as far as possible be conducted prior to commencement of leave, or alternatively as soon as practically possible after the employee returns from leave.

Effect of Leave. Leave with pay shall not alter a nurse’s anniversary date of employment or otherwise affect her/his compensation or status with the Employer. No benefits will accrue in a pay period in which a nurse receives no pay from the Employer, such as during an unpaid leave of absence, unless otherwise required by law. Leave without pay for a period of thirty (30) days or less shall not alter a nurse’s anniversary date of employment. During the period of an approved leave, previously earned seniority and benefits shall be maintained.
Effect of Leave. The District shall continue to provide group insurance benefits for any nurse who is unable to return to work because of proven illness or injury for up to three (3) months following the exhaustion of the nurses accrued sick leave and annual leave as long as the leave is covered by FMLA. Thereafter, the nurse shall be allowed to continue existing insurance coverage at the nurse’s own expense in accord with the state or federal law.
