Call-in Guarantee. An employee required to work overtime which is not consecutive with normal working hours shall be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate overtime rate, or for all hours worked at the appropriate overtime rate, whichever is the greater. A call-in means the time worked by an employee when the employee has been called by an authorized official of the Employer to return to work after regularly scheduled working hours or a non-scheduled working day.

Call-in Guarantee. Except as otherwise provided, employees notified or called in to perform work not continuous with the regular hours of work shall be allowed a minimum equivalent to six hours’ time at their basic straight time rate. At the Supervisor’s discretion, employees called in to work on Emergency Call-Ins prior to their normal start time, may be permitted to leave early the equivalent amount of time worked before their normal start time, without loss of pay. Such requests will not be unreasonably withheld by Supervisors. This provision excludes pre-arranged overtime assignments.
Call-in Guarantee. An employee called back to work by a Department Head or his designee, in addition to his/her normal work schedule, will be guaranteed for each such call-in a minimum of two (2) hours at time and one-half (1 1/2). Call-in time shall commence at the time the employee reports for duty. This provision will not apply if the overtime immediately precedes or immediately follows the regular work shift. This benefit may not require that call-in be paid again if additional call-ins occur within the two hours already guaranteed. If additional help is required, the Department Head or his designee and established departmental procedures will determine which employees will be called out, and the most senior qualified employee shall be called first, based on the circumstances.

The Employer shall guarantee a minimum of one (1) hour overtime pay to custodial staff when they are called in after their regular shift to perform simple tasks such as turning off lights, locking doors, etc. Any time between the end of the shift and the beginning of the next shift is considered "after."

In the event the call in extends beyond two (2) hours, the employee shall be compensated at their rate of pay accordingly. Employees are not required to stay for the two (2) hours if coverage is secured from another unit becoming available. Call in pay is secured if the call in is canceled due to change in system status prior to the employee's arrival at the station. In the case of call backs for less than a full shift all time shall be considered paid duty time with no non-paid sleep time.

Call-in Guarantee. A. Any employee reporting for work on "call-in," as that term is defined in Article 5, will receive a minimum of five hours' pay at 1 ½ times his pay rate. Pay for work performed after the five- hour period stated above will be computed at the rate specified in this Agreement for the day and circumstance involved. In the event that the call-in period continues into the employee's regular shift, payment will be made at the rate of 1 1/2 times the employee's pay rate for the first five hours worked, straight time for the remainder of his regular shift, and 1 1/2 times his pay rate for all hours worked beyond his regular shift. Only those hours actually worked will be counted in determining overtime pay. Refusal to perform any work in his classification that may be assigned will forfeit all claim to payment of wages, except for such actual time the employee worked, and that time will be computed at the rate specified in this Agreement for the day involved.
Call-in Guarantee. Employees who are on the Highway Department seniority list and who are called in for duty between the period of May 1st to October 1st inclusive shall receive eight (8) hours work within that department or the equivalent of eight (8) hours pay at their regular hourly rate. Currently not applicable Refer to Letter of Understanding City drivers who are called in off for extra highway trips shall receive eight (8) hours work the Highway Department or the equivalent of eight (8) hours pay at their regular hourly rate, except on Saturday where the guarantee shall be four (4)hours, and except between the months of November to April any one year inclusive when the call-in guarantee is to be six (6) hours at the regular hourly rate.
