Scope of the Committee. The Committee shall not have the power to bind the Union or its members, or the Employer to any decision or conclusion reached in discussion. The Committee shall not have jurisdiction over any matter contained in this Collective Agreement, including its administration or renegotiation. The Committee shall not supersede the activities of any other committee of the Union or of the Employer.

Scope of the Committee. The Committee's remit is to consider salaries and conditions of service for registered teachers, music instructors, educational psychologists and advisers who are employed by Council Authorities in Scotland. The objectives of the negotiating body are: - to create a salaries and conditions of service structure that contributes to a highly motivated teaching profession and underpins the delivery of a quality education service; - to ensure that the outcome of negotiations secures, and maintains, appropriate levels of remuneration for the profession to enhance professional status; - to ensure that salaries and conditions of service reflect professional status, including the commissioning from time to time of research on the comparative external position in order to inform its deliberations.
Scope of the Committee. The committee will make recommendations for the development and implementation of the Employer’s violence in the workplace policy. This policy will set out procedures to prevent violence, procedures for the review of incidents of violence, procedures to ensure the Employee Assistance Program is used effectively when necessary and any other reasonable steps that will assist in the prevention of violence to members of the bargaining unit. The policy will meet or exceed the requirements of the Workers’ Compensation Act. The Committee will also consider potential actions by relevant levels of government that could enhance the safety of employees’ work life, and, if the committee determines joint action by the parties would be appropriate, recommend joint action to the union and the Employer.

Scope of the Committee. The Committee may discuss the subjects of this agreement, its administration, health and safety, human resources, pedagogical concerns and other items of interest. Nothing in this Article shall create any obligation on the parties, other than to afford each the opportunity to be heard regarding items of concern.   • Mandate of the Committee The mandate of the Education Worker Diverse and Inclusive Workforce Committee is to jointly explore and identify best practices that support diversity, equity, inclusion and to xxxxxx diverse and inclusive workforces reflective of Ontario’s diverse communities.

  • Nurse Representatives & Grievance Committee (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize Association representatives to be elected or appointed from amongst nurses in the bargaining unit for the purpose of dealing with Association business as provided in this Collective Agreement. The number of representatives and the areas which they represent are set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions.

  • Grievance Committee The Hospital will recognize a Grievance Committee composed of the Chief Xxxxxxx and not more than (as set out in Local Provisions Appendix) employees selected by the Union who have completed their probationary period. A general representative of the Union may be present at any meeting of the Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to deal with complaints or grievances as set out in this Collective Agreement. The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of the members of the Grievance Committee appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. A Committee member shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending grievance meetings with the Hospital up to, but not including arbitration. The number of employees on the Grievance Committee shall be determined locally.

  • TRANSITION COMMITTEE 8.1.0 A transition committee comprised of the employee representatives and the employer representatives, including the Crown, will be established by January 31, 2016 to address all matters that may arise in the creation of the Trust.

  • The Board 6.1 The appointment, dismissal and conduct of the Board shall be regulated in accordance with this agreement and the Articles.

  • Compensation Committee (A) The Compensation Committee shall be composed of not more than five (5) members who shall be selected by the Board of Directors from its own members who are not officers of the Company and who shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board.
