Waiver of Time Limits. The time limits prescribed above may be extended by mutual agreement in writing between the Union and the Employer.

Waiver of Time Limits. No employee may leave the job, take up, or settle a grievance without requesting permission from the immediate supervisor. Such permission will be granted provided it does not interfere with operations or create a hazardous condition. If permission cannot be granted, time limits will be waived until permission is granted. Any other employees in the bargaining unit attending a grievance meeting at any step are subject to the same provisions.
