Sundays and Holidays a) Work performed on Sundays and Holidays will be paid at double (2x) the regular rate of pay. Holidays recognized by this Agreement are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. (No work shall be performed on Labor Day except to save life or property). In jurisdictions where the majority of the other crafts have Veteran’s Day or the Day after Thanksgiving or any other holiday in their Contracts, the Laborers will be granted the same holiday. Where any of the herein mentioned Holidays fall on Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as the Holiday. Where any of the herein mentioned Holidays fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed as the Holiday.

On a jobsite where another craft employed by the same contractor has the day after Thanksgiving, the Laborers will be granted the same Holiday.
Sundays and Holidays. 14.01 For employees hired prior to October 30, 2005: The following shall be recognized as holidays: New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day or on days legally celebrated in lieu thereof. Full-time employees who work their scheduled day immediately preceding a holiday and their scheduled day immediately following a holiday shall receive eight (8) hours pay in addition to the hours worked. Employees who are absent on their scheduled day immediately preceding a holiday or a scheduled day immediately following a holiday shall not be paid holiday pay unless absence is due to proven illness or the absence is excused by the Employer, in which case the employee shall receive holiday pay provided he worked any part of the holiday week.

SCHEDULE B For article 7 of this Scale Agreement, the following rates and conditions shall apply: MINIMUM FEES The minimum fee per Musician shall be: Musician: $170.75 as of October 1, 2015 (2%) $174.15 as of October 1, 2016 (2%) $177.65 as of October 1, 2018 (2%) Leader – Double the Musician's fee; Contractor – One hundred and fifty percent (150%) of the Musician's fee; Contract service fees – When three (3) or more Musicians are engaged (including Leader) to perform as a group; a contract service fee, being the equivalent of ten percent (10%) of an individual Musician’s scale fees shall be paid by the NFB to the Local in whose jurisdiction the engagement takes place (i.e. the sound recording and/or the filmed performance of the engaged Musicians). This amount is to accompany the contract being filed for the engagement, and is in addition to the amounts representing the Musicians’ Pension Fund of Canada contribution payable hereunder. Overtime continuously following the one (1) hour session shall be based on units of twenty (20) minutes and shall be paid at the rate of one third (1/3) of the minimum call session.
Sundays and Holidays. Except as otherwise provided, no bargaining unit member will be required to work on Sundays or Holidays. For all bargaining unit members who are scheduled to work 40 hours per week, any work performed on Sundays or holidays and all work performed over and above the forty (40) hour work week shall be compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times his/her normal rate of pay. For all bargaining unit members who are scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, any work performed on holidays shall be compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times their normal rate of pay. Payment at time and one-half for Sundays would not occur unless their total hours of work for that week exceed 40. The Board and Administration may grant compensatory time off, at the bargaining unit member’s option, in place of overtime pay, at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2).
Sundays and Holidays a) In recognition of the Company agreeing that Sunday and Holiday overtime is voluntary for employees, the parties agree that if there are an insufficient number of employees able or willing to work overtime after exhausting all available qualified employees actively at work or from the Layoff Employee TPT list, the Company has the right to have any other person work overtime hours, and no grievance shall be filed with respect to thereto.
