Common use of Sundays and Holidays Clause in Contracts

Sundays and Holidays. a) Work performed on Sundays and Holidays will be paid at double (2x) the regular rate of pay. Holidays recognized by this Agreement are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. (No work shall be performed on Labor Day except to save life or property). On a jobsite where another craft employed by the same contractor has the day after Thanksgiving, the Laborers will be granted the same Holiday.
