Personal Need. Three (3) days per year of the unit member’s accumulated sick leave under Section 12.2.1 may be used for personal need.

Personal Need. 1. Teachers with professional status will be granted an unpaid leave of absence for the purpose of child-rearing of up to two years consistent with the child-rearing language in Article 13A above This leave would not add to leave granted under Article 13, A., above.
Personal Need. Members of the bargaining unit may be granted an unpaid leave at the discretion of the School Committee for the following reasons: prolonged illness, needed rest, and necessities of the home; professional improvement; to serve in public office; or for any other activity which would benefit the New Bedford School System.

  • Personal Necessity Leave 13.2.1 A maximum of seven (7) days of sick leave may be used by an employee in any school year for personal necessity, for the following purposes:

  • Personal Necessity 1.9.1 Unit members may use up to a maximum of ten (10) sick leave days from their current year sick leave allocation each work year for purposes of personal necessity.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • Personal Freedom 20.1 The personal life of an Employee is not an appropriate concern for the attention of the Board except as it may directly inhibit the Employee from performing properly his/her assigned functions during the workday.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.

  • Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment The Government considers operators as fireline personnel who will use and wear specified articles of personal protective equipment.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.
