Winter Session definition

Winter Session means the School Year, as defined in the Bylaws.
Winter Session means the Fall Term and the Spring Term;
Winter Session. This Contract commences at 8 a.m. on your assigned Move‐In Date. You are required to move out 24 hours after the end of the April 2025 exam period defined by the UVic Undergrad/Graduate Academic Calendar 2024-25, and may not occupy your Accommodation during the winter break that commences 24 hours after the end of the December 2024 exam period except as set out in s. 2.1 below.

Examples of Winter Session in a sentence

  • Members of the Bargaining Unit who have accepted an appointment as a Teaching Assistant for the ensuing Winter Session will be assigned to a specific course or other duties by August 31 if possible, and in any event no later than September 30.

  • If the student buys out a space for Fall Semester and space demand is high for Winter Session and/or Spring Semester, Residence Life & Housing may assign a student to that space for either or both of those terms.

  • For appointments of less than a full Winter Session, the same principle of semi-monthly payments shall apply on a pro rata basis.

  • A Term Sessional Lecturer whose teaching load in a qualifying period is, or is revised to be, at least 7.5 units, is eligible to participate in each of the benefit plans listed below for the Winter Session (fall and spring terms) noted above and the subsequent Summer Session, subject to any additional requirements as noted.

  • For Winter Session courses, this mid-course meeting shall be held no later than November 15th for “F” courses, January 31st for “Y” courses, and March 1st for “S” courses.

  • Term One Session or Term Two Session Criteria Residents are generally required to contract for accommodation for the full Winter Session.

  • Nothing in this section shall prevent parents of students enrolled in OHVA from being eligible for consideration for appointment to the Governing Authority in accordance with existing regulations.

  • The Student will be responsible for housing charges outlined above and the Housing Deposit refund will be made according to the following schedule: Fall Semester - Returning Students Renewing Contract Fall Semester - New Students With New Contract This Contract is binding for the entire Winter Session Semester or any remaining portion thereof if the Contract is signed after the start of classes of the Winter Session Semester.

  • As set out on your Contract Confirmation, ID and Emergency Contact Card, your accommodation occurs within one of the following sessions (each, a “Session”): • Term One Session only; or • Term Two Session only; or • Winter Session (which is equivalent to Term One and Term Two).

  • Seniority for Inter/Summer Sessional employees shall be maintained but not accrued during the Winter Session.

Winter Session means the period of time in an institution’s academic calendar between the conclusion of the preceding fall term and the beginning of the subsequent spring term.
