Extension of Coverage. Any extension of coverage, at the adjunct faculty member's own expense, subsequent to termination of employment with the District, shall be in accordance with applicable state and/or federal law.

This portion equals 30% of the first $10,000 of expenses incurred that would otherwise be eligible for reimbursement. For example, if the benefit would normally have been $1,000, only $700 will be reimbursed if the Assistance Service is not contacted in advance or if you do not follow their instructions. Extension of Coverage. If on the termination date of the contract, there are one or more disabled participants, each disabled participant is entitled to the benefits for which he or she would have been eligible had the contract remained in force.

Extension of Coverage. Whenever a teacher is granted sick leave, with pay, by the Board, the basic health insurance coverage shall be paid by the Board. Such payment shall be made during the period of such sick leave for a maximum of twelve (12) months. If the teacher is granted sick leave, without pay, the teacher may continue coverage under the health benefit program at Board expense for a maximum of three (3) months. At the expiration of the three (3) month period, coverage may continue if the teacher elects to pay the required premiums directly to the carrier at non-group rates.
