Adjunct Faculty Member definition

Adjunct Faculty Member shall be synonymous with the termregular part-time faculty member” referred to in the certification of the collective bargaining representative by the New York State Labor Relations Board and shall refer to those persons who are appointed to a part- time faculty rank and are engaged by the University to devote their time and efforts, less than primarily and principally, to work of instruction or research at the University. Neither the term “adjunct faculty member” nor the term “regular part-time faculty member” includes persons teaching only during the Summer Sessions at the University or Administrators.
Adjunct Faculty Member means any individual holding a professional position with any member institution or unit of the System, except as a clinical faculty member, for which the individual receives no salary.
Adjunct Faculty Member. Adjunct Faculty Members[BT2]” are faculty who work fewer than 39 five (5) credits in a term. Such faculty do not accrue seniority and are not probationary.
