Experience Steps. The Union agrees not to file any demands for arbitration regarding the designation of experience levels for the employees listed below. However, the Union reserves the right to discuss with management any blatant and material errors that come to light. Upon request, management agrees to discuss these issues with the Union and both sides will endeavor in good faith to resolve any disagreement. However, it is understood that no demands for arbitration will be filed and the no-strike clause shall remain in effect.

One (1) year of salary schedule credit, to a maximum of four (4), shall be granted for each year of full-time, prior elementary public school teaching experience rendered on the basis of a valid regular public-school teaching credential; the maximum step placement for a teacher new to the District shall be Step Five (5). To receive credit for a year of experience, an employee must be in paid status for 75% of the days required service for his/her classification.
