Cross Training. The Employer and Union mutually agree that a collaborative problem solving approach to cross training and related staffing issues is of mutual benefit to all departments and encourage working together towards innovative solutions to the challenges providing quality healthcare.
Cross Training. 39.01 The Employer and the Union agree that it is mutually beneficial to have employees take advantage of training programs and learn additional jobs required in the workplace. Therefore, taking into account the needs of the business, the Employer will make best efforts to provide cross training opportunities for employees to learn such additional jobs. The Employer will post a sign up list of cross training opportunities as far in advance of such opportunities as is reasonable in the circumstances. Interested employees will indicate their willingness, in writing, to learn such additional jobs. The Employer retains discretion on what training to offer, and to whom, but will where it sees it as reasonable give senior employees priority. Cross Training. (a) The parties recognize the importance of cross training to ensure that employees are properly trained for backup and for promotions. When the Employer identifies a cross training opportunity the Employer shall provide each regular employee written notification of the cross training opportunity in following with 6.02
(a) The Employer undertakes to cross train employees on the basis of seniority and the ability to do the job within a reasonable period of time.
(b) Where an employee has received cross training in a calendar year, s/he may only be cross trained in another position by mutual agreement in the same year.
(c) An employee must have demonstrated ability in her/his present position before being cross trained in another position.
(d) The Parties agree that the Joint Liaison Committee will review "core duties" for each position and requirements for each position for purposes of cross training.
Cross Training. Classified employees may be provided cross training opportunities to learn the skills and responsibilities of another position related to their career plan. The specific schedule to perform these activities must be agreed upon by the supervisor and classified employee. No overtime shall be issued to accomplish the cross training assignment. See Appendix B7, B7a.
Cross Training a) The Employer agrees to apply cross-training as needed for job coverage and promotion in accordance with the criteria set out in Article 12.3.
b) While training and cross-training is being done, the trainer will be present.

Cross Training. Pursuant to the Employer’s Long-Range Strategic Plan, employees may be provided an opportunity, upon the employee’s request and at the Employer’s discretion, to participate in cross-training assignments among the various divisions of the 20th Circuit Court. Cross assignment opportunities are not limited to bargaining unit positions.
