Training Opportunity Sample Clauses

Training Opportunity. Where the Board offers an employee the opportunity to take training the conditions of Article 38.1 (Required Training) shall apply with the exception that the premium rate in Article 38.1.c. does not apply.

Training Opportunity. Should the Hospital identify an opportunity for training within a department (or work unit) such training will be offered through an expression of interest to employees within the department (or work unit) or should the Hospital identify an opportunity for training that extends across departments (or work units) such training shall be offered through an expression of interest to the bargaining unit. When this occurs, the Hospital will notify employees through an expression of interest for a period of at least three (3) calendar days. Employees wishing to be considered for these opportunities must express their interest, in writing, within the period referenced above. Selection shall be per Article 13(a)(iv) for all such training opportunities. If requested, the Hospital will discuss with unsuccessful employees, reasons why they were not chosen for the opportunity. (d) A copy of all expressions of interest will be provided to the Union at the same time the opportunity is offered. Upon request, the Union will be provided the name(s) of the employee(s) selected for a temporary vacancy or training opportunity that is filled by an expression of interest.
Training Opportunity. The Employer agrees to post notices for upcoming training on the informational bulletin board. Individual employees may apply for such training opportunities as they arise. An employee attending any non-approved training in his off duty hours shall receive no compensation for the time spent in such training. The employee may mutually agree with another employee to switch their shifts in order to attend non- approved training.

Training Opportunity. The University will provide assistants with such training and orientation as the law requires or the University deems appropriate. Such training may include, in addition to State mandated ethics training, such topics as classroom diversity, strategies for dealing with hostile students, methods for stimulating class discussion, teaching tactics specific to the discipline of the department or program, laboratory practices and procedures, health and safety rules and expectations, project history and expectations, research and laboratory techniques, and/or other duties related to the assistant's appointment.
