ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. The Company agrees that no employee shall in any manner be discriminated against, coerced, restrained or influenced on account of membership in the Union, or by virtue of holding office in the Union, or by reason of any lawful activity or lack of lawful activity the Union. The Union agrees that neither its officers, members or persons employed directly or indirectly by the Union, shall discriminate or intimidate employees who are not members of the Union. The Company and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination, intimidation, interference, restriction, or coercion exercised or practice with respect to any employee concerning any of the provisions of the Collective Agreement or otherwise by reason of age, race, colour, creed, national origin, religion, political affiliation, or activity, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, place of residence, physical handicap, nor reason of membership or activity in the Union, nor for any reason prohibited by the Human Rights Legislation.

ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. It is the continuing policy of the Employer and the Union that the provisions of this Agreement shall be applied to all employees or applicants for employment without regard to race, colour, sex, religious creed, national origin or language.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination, restriction or coercion exercised by reason of race, colour, creed, national origin, or religious sex or marital status, 'age, membership or nonmembership or activity in the Union. The Employer and the Union agree that no form of sexual harassment shall be condoned in the workplace and it is further agreed that both parties will work together in recognizing and resolving such problems should they arise. Situations involving sexual harassment shall be treated in strict confidence by both the Employer and the Union.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. The parties hereto mutually agree that no employee shall be discriminated against because of membership, or lack of membership or by reason of any lawful activity, or lack of activity on behalf of the Union. The Company will not membership in the Union, or attempt to encourage membership in another Union. Employees shall enjoy equal rights under this Agreement, regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, colour, race, ethnic or national origin, disability, or religious or political affiliation. The parties hereto mutually agree that they are desirous of maintaining a working environment which is free from sexual racial harassment. The parties agree that matters relating to sexual and/or racial harassment will be referred to the Committee which will discuss and attempt to resolve the matters referred to it. For the purposes of this clause, “sexual harassment” includes: unwanted sexual attention of a persistent or abusive nature, made by a person who knows, or ought reasonably to know, that such attention is unwanted; or implied or expressed promise of reward for complying with a sexually oriented request; or implied or expressed threat or reprisal, in the form either of actual reprisal or the denial of opportunity, for refusal to comply with a sexually oriented request; or sexually oriented remarks and/or behaviour which may reasonably be perceived to create a negative psychological and/or emotional environment for work. For the purpose of this clause, ”racial harassment” includes: Engaging in a of comment or conduct that is known, or ought reasonably to be known, to be unwelcome where such comment or conduct consists of words or action by the Company, supervisor or a co- worker in the bargaining unit, which disrespects or causes humiliation to a bargaining unit employee because of their race, colour, creed, ancestry, place of origin or ethnic origin. In the event that the Committee does not resolve the matter within fourteen (14) calendar days, an employee may file a grievance in accordance with Article or the employee may file a complaint to the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. It is agreed that no employee shall be discriminated against because of race, color, creed, religion, nationality, age or sex. The Borough shall not discriminate against or interfere with any employee because of Union activities. The Union, its members and agents, shall not discriminate against or interfere with any employee covered under this agreement who is not a member of the Union.

ARTICLE UNION COMMITTEES Regular working lost by Union representatives in negotiating labour agreements with Management, attending meetings or otherwise carrying on duties of union representatives as permitted by the Employer will be counted as time worked in computing service and attendance records. This time will also be counted as time worked for pay purposes. ARTICLE WAGES Part-time employees as defined in Article shall be paid the hourly rate based on the relative value of the work being performed in comparison to the Bargaining Unit positions being The salary schedules set forth in Appendix A shall apply during the term of this Agreement.

ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. It is agreed that the Union and the employees will not engage in Union activities during working hours or hold meetings at any time on the premises of the Corporation without the permission of the Department Head or his designate. The Corporation agrees to give Business Agents of Local access to the premises of the Telecom- munications Department for the purpose of attending grievance meetings or otherwise assisting in the administration of this agreement and for the purpose of posting notices on bulletin boards allocated to the Union, provided prior arrangements are made with the Administration of the Department. Such Agents shall have access to the premises only the ap- proval of the Administration, which will not be un- reasonably withheld.

ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, harassment (personal or sexual) or coercion exercised or practiced respect to any employee by reason of age, sex, race, colour, creed, national or ethnic origin, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, conviction for a pardon has been granted, religious or political affiliation, or any other grounds by applicable legislation, by reason of Union activity, nor by exercising their rights under this agreement.
