Union Activities During Working Hours. Employees shall be released and allowed time off with or without pay, and with or without loss of benefits, as provided for in this Agreement.
Union Activities During Working Hours. Employees shall be released and allowed time off, subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations, during working hours to attend grievance conferences, Labor-Management Meetings, committee meetings, and activities established by this Agreement, or meetings or conferences called or agreed to by the Employer or the Department of Civil Service (including the Civil Service Commission), if such employees are entitled by the provisions of this Agreement to attend such meetings by virtue of being Union representatives, Chief Stewards, Stewards, Alternate Stewards, witnesses, and/or grievants except in the case of emergency. Any pay provided by the Employer is governed by Civil Service rules and regulations. If an employee is not released to attend such meetings in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement, the Union may request the appropriate authority to postpone and reschedule such meeting. In those cases where the Union makes such a request, the Employer shall grant or concur in such request.

Union Activities During Working Hours. The Union agrees that there will be no Union activities carried out during working hours, except those necessary in connection with the administration of this Agreement. Accredited Representatives of the Union shall have access to the Company's premises during working hours for the purpose of adjusting disputes, investigating working conditions and ascertaining that the Agreement is being adhered to, provided however, that there is no interruption of the Company's working schedule.

(c) There shall be no Union activities during working hours which interfere with the duties of any employee, unless permission is first obtained from the employee's immediate supervisor, such permission will not be unreasonably withheld at any time and all such time off during an employee's working hours shall be without loss of pay. Such activities shall be limited to those required for the administration and application of the terms of this Agreement.

The Union agrees that it shall not engage in Union activities during working hours and it shall not discuss Company business or distribute literature to passengers unless authorized to do so by the Employer. POSTING OF START TIMES: Start times for all Employees must be posted no later than 18:00 hours on the day prior to the shift they are to work. If start times are not posted by that time, or must be altered, the Employer shall undertake to contact the driver and advise him/her of his/her start time. Employees must provide the Employer with current address and telephone numbers. This clause is subject to the provision of the Collective Agreement.

Union Activities During Working Hours. A. The parties recognize their respective obligations to grant and utilize release time authorized by this Agreement in an efficient manner in the context of effective and efficient University operations. To this end, the University’s Labor Relations Manager or designee and the Union shall designate a person to discuss and resolve the issues associated with release from duty or time off. The Chief of Police or designee shall require the representative to provide the request for release time in writing and send the same request to the University’s Labor Relations Manager. When the Chief of Police or designee denies time based on unforeseen operational needs in accordance with this Agreement, he/she shall, upon written request of the Union, provide the reasons in writing and shall advise the representative when he/she can obtain the time off. Time off under this provision shall not be arbitrarily denied.
Union Activities During Working Hours. It is understood that representatives, stewards and members of the Union have their regular work to perform on behalf of the Employer. It is acknowledged that matters relating to the administration and application of the terms of this Agreement and grievances should be attended to as soon as possible. If it is necessary to attend such matters during working hours, employees will not leave their jobs without giving an explanation for leaving and obtaining the Supervisor's permission. Permission will not be unreasonably withheld and the time away from work shall be without loss of pay and benefits. The representatives, xxxxxxx and/or members shall report back to the Supervisor before resuming the normal duties of their position.
Union Activities During Working Hours. 8.01 Representatives shall be permitted to leave their regular work for a reasonable length of time to perform their duties in connection with this Agreement subject to the approval of their immediate supervisor or manager of the department where they are employed.
