WORKLOAD OF FACULTY MEMBERS. 18.08.1 The workload of faculty members shall, consistent with the stream concerned, include teaching, research/schol- arly/creative activities, and service to the University. The Employer shall attempt to achieve an equitable distribu- tion of workload among faculty members. The “normal workload” of a Faculty shall be defined by current practi- ces, or as may hereafter be agreed to by the parties. Upon written request by the Xxxx, faculty members shall submit a summary of the nature, scope and specific achievements of their research, scholarly and creative activities carried out in the preceding academic year. The Xxxx shall determine for the Faculty as a whole and, where they exist, for each Academic Department, following consultation with the Chairpersons, the normal teaching load to be assigned to the majority of faculty members in each Academic unit. Such normal teaching load shall be appropriate and reasonable for the concerned. The Xxxx shall assign the individual teaching load of each faculty member, which shall be reasonable taking into account any information available to with respect to as: what is appropriate and reasonable for the discipline concerned; the requirements and priorities of the concerned; the faculty member's abilities and areas of expertise in discipline; the number of separate courses taught, the level (e.g., introductory, upper year, graduate) of each course, and the type (e.g., lecture, tutorial, seminar, distance education, teleconferencing) of each course,...

  • New Members No person may be admitted as a member of the Company without the approval of the Member.

  • New Member Orientation The Employer will notify the Union of any newly represented temporary employees. The Union will be given the opportunity to have a Union representative speak with the newly represented temporary employees for not more than thirty (30) minutes to provide information about the Union and this Agreement.

  • THE MEMBERS Members are the owners of the Company. Members are not entitled to compensation for services furnished to the Company in the Member’s capacity as a Member. The name and residential address of each Member is contained in Exhibit 1 attached to this Agreement. Each Member’s initial membership interest is the percentage set forth in Exhibit 1. An unauthorized transfer of a Member’s interest could create a substantial hardship for the Company. Consequently, the Members agree to the restrictions and procedures affecting the ownership and transfer of the Members’ interests as identified in Article VII. The Members acknowledge these restrictions are not intended to penalize, but rather are intended to protect and preserve the existing trust-based relationships, the Company’s capital, and the Company’s financial ability to continue its operations.

  • Professional Memberships Each employee is eligible for reimbursement for membership fees or dues paid for the maintenance of a license required to perform employee’s job and for dues paid for membership in one additional job related professional association.

  • Contractor’s Project Manager and Key Personnel Contractor shall appoint a Project Manager to direct the Contractor’s efforts in fulfilling Contractor’s obligations under this Contract. This Project Manager shall be subject to approval by the County and shall not be changed without the written consent of the County’s Project Manager, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld. The Contractor’s Project Manager shall be assigned to this project for the duration of the Contract and shall diligently pursue all work and services to meet the project time lines. The County’s Project Manager shall have the right to require the removal and replacement of the Contractor’s Project Manager from providing services to the County under this Contract. The County’s Project manager shall notify the Contractor in writing of such action. The Contractor shall accomplish the removal within five (5) business days after written notice by the County’s Project Manager. The County’s Project Manager shall review and approve the appointment of the replacement for the Contractor’s Project Manager.
