Assignment of Teaching Load Clause Samples
The Assignment of Teaching Load clause defines how teaching responsibilities are distributed among faculty members. Typically, it outlines the number of courses or credit hours each instructor is expected to teach during a given academic period, and may specify variations based on rank, department needs, or special assignments. This clause ensures a fair and transparent allocation of teaching duties, helping to balance workloads and clarify expectations for both faculty and administration.
Assignment of Teaching Load. The administrator in charge of the program will be responsible for the assignment of teaching load. A tentative notice of assignment will be given to faculty by Older Adults Program two weeks after permatization of the semester schedule. Faculty will be responsible for notifying Older Adults Program of any error(s) within two (2) weeks of receipt of the tentative notice of assignment. A confirmation letter shall be distributed to all faculty in the unit not less than one (1) week before the first class meeting.

On the day the Class Schedule for each term is posted on the District website, the District will notify all faculty of this posting, which constitutes the District’s approval of the schedule and the offer of hourly assignments.
