Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment. The Employer will provide all personal protective clothing and/or equipment that are required by applicable laws, regulations, and policies. The Employer shall purchase or provide reasonable reimbursement to employees who are required to wear non-prescription safety glasses. For employees who wear prescription glasses, where non-prescription glasses do not provide adequate protection, the Employer shall provide reasonable reimbursement for prescription safety glasses.
Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment. Personal protective clothing and equipment required by the Agency to preserve the health and safety of employees shall be furnished and maintained by the Agency without cost to employees. The Agency may initially purchase other clothing items without assuming any further responsibility to maintain those same items, except as specifically required by law and this Agreement. Disposable gloves, disinfectant, and mouth pieces will be accessible to employees while directly caring for patients, residents, clients, inmates or youths.

Within thirty (30) days of the Governor's proclamation of the existence of a catastrophic health emergency, the Union may request to meet with the Secretary or the Secretary’s designee of each agency employing bargaining unit employees to discuss personal protective equipment and related safety concerns.

The University shall provide reimbursement for employeesprescription safety glasses damaged in the course of the employee’s regular duties, as long as replacement is not necessitated by the employee’s improper care and/or maintenance of equipment and uniforms.

In the event the Employer requires an employee to wear safety shoes on the job, the Employer, upon proof of purchase shall, on an annual basis, reimburse the employee for the cost of one pair of safety shoes as identified by the Employer. The Employer will make available non-prescription safety glasses to employees who are required to wear them as part of their job.

Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment. The Center will provide all personal protective clothing and/or equipment that is required by applicable law, regulations and policies. For employees who wear prescription glasses, and who are required to wear prescription safety glasses by applicable law or regulation, up to a one hundred twenty‐five dollar ($125.00) reimbursement will be made toward the purchase of prescription glasses with safety lenses, once during the period of this MOU. For employees who are required by applicable law and/or regulation to wear steel toed or composite toed shoes, up to a one hundred dollar ($100.00) reimbursement will be made to the employee once per calendar year during the period of this MOU upon submission by the employee of valid receipt of purchase.
Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment. (PPCE)‌ The University has the option to purchase or provide reasonable reimbursement for all personal protective clothing and equipment, including prescription safety glasses, that is required by applicable state laws and regulations and that has been approved by the University. Schools and units shall assess their workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, and shall advise its employees about the protective clothing and equipment that must be used in order to avoid dangerous or hazardous conditions. In workplaces where required, such as laboratories, protective safety glasses will be available at designated supply rooms to all General Services staff assigned to work in those areas.

The University will furnish and maintain in good condition the equipment needed by Collective Bargaining employees to perform their jobs. Shoes provided will meet OSHA Standard 1910.136 for foot protection. The University shall provide uniform replacement for damaged or worn out clothing, shoes and equipment at no cost to the employee so that the employee will be able to maintain the required sets of serviceable uniforms. Clothing or equipment that is lost or damaged due to negligence shall be replaced at the expense of the employee.
