DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE. 1. Descriptive literature fully describing the product bid (where such literature exists) shall be included with the bid to assist the issuing Department in evaluating the submission. Failure to do so may be cause for rejection of the bid.

DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE. All bidders must submit complete manufacturers' descriptive literature regarding the equipment they propose to furnish. The literature shall be sufficient in detail in order to allow a full and fair evaluation of the bid submitted. Failure to include this information may result in the bid being rejected. All modifications made to the standard production unit described in the manufacturer’s brochures must be certified by the manufacturer and submitted with the bid, or the bid will be deemed “non- responsive” and rejected without further review.
DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE. The Bidder may be required to submit descriptive literature of the supplies or services being offered. If requested, the literature will be used in the evaluation process to determine the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. If not provided as part of the Bid response, the Bidder must provide said literature within ten (10) calendar days a fter request/notification by the Office of Procurement Services to do so. Any references, that may appear in the descriptive literature, that may alter the terms and conditions and specifications of the Bid (i.e. F.O.B. Shipping Point or Prices Subje ct to Change), will not be part of any contract and will be disregarded by the state of Ohio. Failure of the Bidder to furnish descriptive literature either as part of their Bid response or within the time specified herein will deem the Bidder not responsive. EVALUATION: Bids will be evaluated in accordance with Article I-17 of the “Instructions to Bidders”. In addition, items will be evaluated as follows: Cylinders: To determine the low lot total price of each location number, the state will divide the cylinder price by the offered cylinder capacity and multiply that by the estimated annual usage designated for the location. Due to the evaluation process it is essential that the Bidder complete the column titled Offered Cylinder Capacity, in the stated unit shown, on the pricing pages. Failure to provide this information may result in the Bidder being deemed not responsive.
DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE. Descriptive literature(s) as specified in this solicitation must be furnished as a part of the bid and must be received at the date and time set for opening Bids. The literature furnished must clearly identify the item(s) in the Bid. The descriptive literature is required to establish, for the purpose of evaluation and award, details of the product(s) the bidder proposes to furnish including design, materials, components, performance characteristics, methods of manufacture, construction, assembly or other characteristics which are considered appropriate. Rejection of the Bid will be required if the descriptive literature(s) do not show that the product(s) offered conform(s) to the specifications and other requirements of this solicitation. Failure to furnish the descriptive Iiterature(s) by the time specified in the Solicitation will require rejection of the bid.
DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE a. "Descriptive literature" means information (e.g., cuts, illustrations, drawings, and brochures) that is submitted as part of a bid. Descriptive literature is required to establish, for the purpose of evaluation and award, details of the product offered that are specified elsewhere in the solicitation and pertain to significant elements such as (1) design; (2) materials; (3) components; (4) performance characteristics; and (5) methods of manufacture, assembly, construction, or operation. The term includes only information required to determine the technical acceptability of the offered product. It does not include other information such as that used in determining the responsibility of a prospective Contractor or for operating or maintaining equipment.

The year, make, and model of each item of equipment bid shall be identified. If not included with the bid, the bidder must submit within five (5) calendar days after notification from the County.

DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE. Bidders shall provide full technical details of all items offered in technical sheets or catalogues with pictures showing detail and general views of the equipment and components. Specific details/models of items offered should be clearly stated as standard technical sheets or catalogues may offer different options.
DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE. Descriptive literature fully describing the product Proposal (where such literature exists) shall be included with the Proposal to assist the Purchasing Department in evaluating the submission. Failure to do so may be cause for rejection of the Proposal. Any items, systems or devices supplied in this Proposal that are proprietary in nature relative to maintenance, repair, servicing or updating must be disclosed on the Proposal form.
DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE. The submission of de- scriptive literature with offers is not re- quired and voluntarily submitted descriptive literature that qualifies the offer will re- quire rejection of the offer. However, within 5 days after award of the contract, the con- tractor will submit to the contracting officer literature describing the equipment he/she intends to furnish and indicating strict com- pliance with the specification requirements. The contracting officer will, by written no- xxxx to the contractor within 20 calendar days after receipt of the literature, approve, conditionally approve, or disapprove the equipment being proposed. The notice of ap- proval or conditional approval will not re- lieve the contractor from complying with all approved by the Government, the contractor will be subject to action under the Default or Termination for Cause provision of this con- tract. However, prior to default or termi- nation for cause action the contractor will be permitted a period (at least 10 days) under that clause to submit additional descriptive literature on equipment originally offered or descriptive literature on other equipment. The Government reserves the right to re- quire an equitable adjustment of the con- tract price for any extension of the delivery schedule necessitated by additional descrip- tive literature evaluations. As prescribed in 811.103–70, insert the following provision: TECHNICAL INDUSTRY STANDARDS (JAN 2008) The supplies or equipment required by this invitation for bid or request for proposal must conform to the standards of the [ ]* and [ ]* as to [ ]**. The successful bidder or offeror will be required to submit proof that the item(s) he/she furnishes conforms to this requirement. This proof may be in the form of a label or seal affixed to the equipment or supplies, warranting that they have been tested in accordance with and conform to the specified standards. Proof may also be fur- nished in the form of a certificate from one of the above listed organizations certifying that the item(s) furnished have been tested in accordance with and conform to the speci- fied standards.
