Association Activities. Except by the express agreement of the Employer, the performance of the duties of any Employee shall not be interrupted for the purpose of conducting any Association activities whatsoever; provided, however, that this provision shall not prevent the authorized representatives of the Association from having such reasonable contact with members of the Association as shall be necessary to ascertain that the terns of this Agreement are being observed.
Association Activities. The parties agree employees shall have the right to form, join, and participate in the lawful activities of the Association for the purpose of representation in matters of employment relations. No employee shall be interfered with, restrained, coerced, or discriminated against because of the exercise of such rights.
Association Activities. The Employer agrees that it shall not in any manner, directly or indirectly, attempt to interfere between any of its members and the Association. The Employer shall not in any manner restrain or attempt to restrain any member from belonging to the Association, or from taking an active part in lawful Association affairs that are not inconsistent with this Agreement.
Association Activities. No employee will engage in Association activities during working hours unless permitted within this Agreement or by permission from his/her immediate supervisor. Employees shall, however, be permitted to engage in activities during working hours pertaining to grievance matters and matters related to the implementation and administration of this Agreement.With the approval of Labor Relations, Negotiating Committee employees shall also be permitted to engage in the preparation of contract proposals and negotiations.
Association Activities. The District agrees to provide each of four (4) offices (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) of the Association, days for Association Activities, not to exceed twenty-one (21) days total per academic year, not to exceed five (5) days per individual per academic year with the exception of the Association President who will be allotted six (6) days per academic year.
Association Activities. UNKEA officers, members of the Negotiations Counsel, and team members shall be granted leaves of absence without loss of salary to participate in negotiation sessions with the Board, provided that the campus administration must be informed of and approve such leaves through the usual leave practices or procedures, and, provided further, that the parties shall cooperate and use their best efforts to avoid, when possible, scheduling negotiation sessions during officers' or members' scheduled class times. The Administration shall permit the UNKEA to purchase up to 15 credit hours of instruction per semester from instructional units. The purchased instructional time shall be utilized to enable officers and representatives of UNKEA to be released from assigned duties for contract-related activities. Affected instructional units shall be compensated at the rate of up to $2,100.00 plus the current rate of FICA for each three-semester credit hour assignment unit. No more than one UNKEA officer or representative shall be released for more than one course of assigned instructional duties per semester or for more than two consecutive academic years under this provision. No UNKEA officer or representative shall be released from more than two courses (6 semester hours) of assigned instructional duties per semester or for more than two consecutive academic years under this provision.
Association Activities. Each year the Grand Forks School District will provide to the Grand Forks Education Association, without loss of pay, a total of fifteen (15) days for Association activities. A maximum of five (5) days can be carried over to the next school year. The individual requesting this leave will inform his/her immediate supervisor two (2) working days prior to the date of such leave. In addition, the president of the Grand Forks Education Association will account to the superintendent for all Association activity days used in order to comply with maximum day provisions set forth in this article. If a school board meeting is scheduled during the work day, the superintendent may, at his/her discretion, make the arrangements necessary to provide for the Association president to attend the meeting without forfeiture of Association activity days. Leave for any individual under this article will be granted a minimum of a half (1/2) day.
