Common use of Association Activities Clause in Contracts

Association Activities. A. The Association and/or its representatives shall have the right to use the school facilities at reasonable hours for meetings, provided that advance approval has been obtained from the Superintendent or his/her designee at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled meeting. No charge shall be made for use of schoolrooms during school days from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Outside said hours, the District may make a charge for use of the facilities. The Board may also charge the Association for special custodial services when necessary, damages to District equipment, facilities, and other properties attributable to such use. B. The Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property at all reasonable times, provided that it shall not interfere with, or interrupt normal operations. C. Bulletin boards and other established internal communications media shall be made available to the Association and its members. D. Association members shall have the right to distribute Association material to other Bargaining Unit Members as long as such distribution does not interfere in the normal operation of the work area of his/her job performance. E. The Association shall have the privilege of using school facilities and equipment, including typewriters, mimeographing machines, other duplicating equipment, calculating machines and audio-visual equipment at reasonable times (as determined by the Superintendent or his/her designee). The Association shall pay for the cost of all materials, supplies, and repairs incidental to such use. F. Whenever the President of the Association or his/her designee is mutually scheduled, during working hours, to participate in conferences, meetings or negotiations, he/she shall suffer no loss of pay. G. The Board agrees to provide the Association within five (5) days, in response to written requests to the Superintendent, with such public information as is available concerning the financial resources of the District and information related to the Bargaining Unit as may be necessary to assist the Association to bargain collectively with the school with respect to wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment. The Association agrees that it may be required to provide assistance in compilation of some of the data. Original records shall be examined only at the office where they are kept. The Association will pay the actual cost of producing the data. H. At the beginning of every school year, the Association shall be credited with seven (7) days to be used by Bargaining Unit members who are officers or designated representatives of the Association. The Association shall be credited with an additional five (5) days the last year of the contract. The Association agrees to notify the Board or its agents no less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance of taking such leave. No more than two (2) Bargaining Unit Members shall use this leave on the same date, unless approved by the Superintendent.

Association Activities. A. Section 1 Special conferences for important matters will be arranged between the Association president and the designated representative of the Employer upon request of either party. Such meetings will normally be between at least two (2) representatives of each of the parties, and will be held at mutually agreeable times and places, normally outside of participants scheduled working hours. Should the Employer require such meetings to be during participating bargaining unit members' normal scheduled hours, such members will be released for the purpose of attending such conferences without loss of pay. Section 2 Appropriate bulletin board space will be provided for Association use. The Association and/or its representatives may post notices of union meetings, union recreation and social affairs and union elections and appointments on such bulletin boards without prior approval by the District, but no other notices shall be posted thereon without the prior approval of the administration. Whenever Section 4 Any complaints to the President administration by any parent, student or other person directed against a bargaining unit member shall be promptly called to that member's attention. Any such complaint not called to the attention of the Association or his/her designee is mutually scheduled, during working hours, to participate bargaining unit member may not be used as the basis for disciplinary action against such member and shall not be placed in conferences, meetings or negotiations, he/she shall suffer no loss of paythe member's personnel file. G. The Board agrees to Section 5 Upon reasonable request by the Association, the District will either provide the Association within five (5) dayscopies, in response to written requests to the Superintendentor provide reasonable facilities for inspection and copying, with such public of information as is available concerning the financial resources of the District and information related to the Bargaining Unit as may be necessary to assist the Association to bargain collectively with the school with respect to wagesbargaining unit, hours and other terms and conditions of employment. At the beginning of every school yearincluding Form B, the Association shall be credited with seven (7) days budget, the auditor's report, the bargaining unit salaries and all financial and scheduling data relevant to be used by Bargaining Unit members who are officers or designated representatives of the Association. The Association shall be credited with an additional five (5) days the last year of the contract. The Association agrees to notify the Board or its agents no less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance of taking such leave. No more than two (2) Bargaining Unit Members shall use this leave on the same date, unless approved by the Superintendentbargaining.

The Board shall provide the President a copy machine code within his/her building for Association and its membersuse. D. The Association members shall have the right to post notices of Association business on bulletin boards and in the central office employees' lounge. E. The Association may use the inter school mail service for communications. F. The Association shall have the right to distribute Association material to other Bargaining Unit Members as bargaining unit members so long as such distribution does not interfere in with the normal operation of the work area of his/her job performance. An assistant, required as an essential witness in a grievance during the school day, shall be released from her/his regular duties without loss of pay, provided that the Superintendent/designee or appropriate administrator has requested that such a grievance meeting be held during the school day. H. Assistants shall be released from their regular duties without loss of pay to meet with the MERC or arbitrator, provided that their presence is essential to such proceedings. Up to two (2) Bargaining Unit Members shall use this leave on the same date, unless approved by the Superintendentpersons may be so designated in any single proceeding.

The Association and/or LEAO and its representatives shall have the right to use the school facilities buildings at all reasonable hours for meetings, provided that advance approval has been obtained from meetings which do not interfere with the Superintendent or his/her designee at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to assigned functions of the scheduled meetingregular program. No charge shall be made for use of schoolrooms during the buildings. B. Each department shall be provided with a mailbox, in each building, and the LEAO shall be granted the right to the use of inter-school days from mail service. All mail shall be clearly marked LEAO. C. Bulletin board space, in each building, shall be made available for the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Outside said hours, the District may make a charge for use of the facilities. The Board may also charge the Association for special custodial services when necessary, damages to District equipment, facilities, LEAO and other properties attributable established media of communication, such as telephone and public address system, during regular announcement times, shall be made available to such usethe LEAO and its members. B. D. The Association LEAO shall be permitted to transact official Association LEAO business on school property at all reasonable times, outside of the employee's regular work schedule, provided that it shall not interfere with, or interrupt interrupt, normal operations. C. Bulletin boards and other established internal communications media shall be made available to the Association and its members. D. The Association LEAO shall have the privilege use of using school facilities and equipment, including typewriters, mimeographing mimeograph machines, other duplicating equipmentmachines, copying machines, calculating machines machines, and audio-visual items, when such equipment at reasonable times (as determined by the Superintendent or his/her designee)is not otherwise in use. The Association LEAO shall pay for the reasonable cost of all materials, supplies, materials and repairs incidental supplies incident to such use. F. G. Whenever the President of the Association local affiliate of the LEAO or his/her designee is mutually scheduled, by the representative of the Board and the LEAO, during working hours, to participate in district conferences, meetings or negotiations, he/she the employee shall suffer no loss of pay. The Board agrees to provide the Association within five (5) days, in response to written requests to the Superintendentand, with such public information as is available concerning the financial resources of the District and information related to the Bargaining Unit as may be necessary to assist the Association to bargain collectively with the school with respect to wageswhen necessary, hours and other terms and conditions of employment. Association Activities. A. 4-1 The Association and/or school trustees hereby agree that every certified administrator of the school district shall have the right to freely join the association for the purpose of supporting the cause of education and welfare of the administrators, and shall not in any manner interfere or discourage nor allow any of its employees to interfere with such activity. 4-2 The school trustees will not discharge, dismiss, or discriminate against any administrator by reason of his membership in the association or his participation in any grievance. 4-3 The association, along with other employee associations, shall be allowed time for meetings after the completion of the first general session of all employees, at the beginning of each school year. 4-4 The association agrees that all of its activities will be conducted so as not to interfere with regular duties and obligations. This will not be construed so as to prevent administrators from participating in the fact finding process of the Local Government Employee-Management Relations Act. 4-5 The association shall have the right to place, in a reasonable manner, appropriately identified notices, circular and other materials on school faculty bulletin boards and in the administrators= mail boxes. 4-6 The association and its representatives shall have the right to use the school facilities buildings at all reasonable hours for meetings, provided that advance approval has been obtained from scheduling such with the Superintendent or his/her designee at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled meeting. No charge shall be made for use of schoolrooms during school days from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Outside said hours, the District may make a charge for use principals of the facilities. At the beginning of every school year, the Association shall be credited with seven (7) days to be used by Bargaining Unit members who are officers or designated duly authorized representatives of the Association. The Association association and the organizations with which the association is affiliated, not employed by the Lincoln County School District shall be credited with an additional five (5) days the last year permitted to discuss matters pertaining to association business only after dismissal of the contract. The Association agrees to notify the Board or its agents no less than fortystudents. 4-eight 11 At District expense, administrators will be allowed 1 membership & 1 professional association (48) hours in advance of taking such leave. No more than two (2) Bargaining Unit Members shall use this leave on the same date, unless approved by the SuperintendentNASA).

The Association and/or and its representatives shall have the right to use the school facilities Board buildings at all reasonable hours for meetings, provided that advance approval has been obtained from meetings which do not interfere with the Superintendent or his/her designee at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to assigned functions of the scheduled meetingregular program. No charge shall be made for use of schoolrooms during school days from the hours of 7:00 a.m. buildings prior to 10:00 p.m. Outside said hours, the District may make a charge for use beginning of the facilities. The Board may also charge work day nor until 10 p.m. during the Association for special custodial services when necessaryschool year, damages to District equipment, facilities, and other properties attributable to such usenor until 3 p.m. during the summer. B. The Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school Board property at all reasonable times, provided that it shall not interfere with, or interrupt interrupt, normal operations. C. Bulletin Staff bulletin boards and other established internal communications media of communication shall be made available to the Association and its members. D. The Association members shall have the right to distribute Association material to other Bargaining Unit Members as so long as such distribution does not interfere in the normal operation of the work area of his/her or herlhis job performance. The Association members shall have the privilege of using school facilities and be permitted to use Board equipment, including typewriters, mimeographing mimeograph machines, other duplicating equipmentmachines, copying machines, calculating machines and machines, audio-visual items, fax machines, and computers when such equipment at reasonable times (as determined by the Superintendent or his/her designee)is not otherwise in use. The Association shall pay take care to use the most economical equipment necessary for the cost of all materials, supplies, and repairs incidental task to such usebe done. F. Whenever the President Release time shall be granted without loss of pay to the Association or his/her designee is mutually scheduled, during for members to handle Association business that cannot be completed after working hours, to participate in conferences, meetings or negotiations, he/she shall suffer no loss of pay. G. The Board agrees to provide the Association within five (5) days, in response to written requests to the Superintendent, with such public information as is available concerning the financial resources of the District and information related to the Bargaining Unit as may be necessary to assist the Association to bargain collectively with the school with respect to wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment. The Association agrees that it may be required to provide assistance in compilation of some of the data. Original records shall be examined only at the office where they are kept. The Association will pay the actual cost of producing the data. H. At the beginning of every school year, the Association shall be credited with seven (7) days to be used by Bargaining Unit members who are officers or designated representatives of the Association. The Association shall be credited with an additional five (5) days the last year of the contract. The Association agrees to notify the Board or its agents no less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance of taking such leave1. No more than ten (10) days per year may be granted. 2. The request for such days must be submitted to the Superintendent/designee at least 48 hours prior to the day. 3. The requests will be reviewed by the Superintendent/designee for appropriateness before being granted. ▇. ▇▇ assistant, required as an essential witness in a grievance during the school day, shall be released from herlhis regular duties without loss of pay, provided that the Superintendent/designee or appropriate administrator has requested that such a grievance meeting be held during the school day. H. Assistants shall be released from their regular duties without loss of pay to meet with the MERe or Arbitrator, provided that their presence is essential to such proceedings. Up to two (2) Bargaining Unit Members shall use this leave on the same date, unless approved by the Superintendent.persons may be so designated in any single proceeding.‌

Association Activities. A. 4-1 The Association and/or school trustees hereby agree that every certified administrator of the school district shall have the right to freely join the association for the purpose of supporting the cause of education and welfare of the administrators, and shall not in any manner interfere or discourage nor allow any of its employees to interfere with such activity. 4-2 The school trustees will not discharge, dismiss, or discriminate against any administrator by reason of his membership in the association or his participation in any grievance. 4-3 The association, along with other employee associations, shall be allowed time for meetings after the completion of the first general session of all employees, at the beginning of each school year. 4-4 The association agrees that all of its activities will be conducted so as not to interfere with regular duties and obligations. The Association association and the organizations with which the association is affiliated, not employed by the Lincoln County School District shall be credited with an additional five (5) days the last year permitted to discuss matters pertaining to association business only after dismissal of the contract. The Association agrees to notify the Board or its agents no less than fortystudents. 4-eight 11 At District expense, administrators will be allowed 1 membership & 1 professional association (48) hours in advance of taking such leave. No more than two (2) Bargaining Unit Members shall use this leave on the same date, unless approved by the SuperintendentNASA).
