Accrual of Compensatory Time. By mutual agreement between the eligible ASF Member and that individual's supervisor, overtime hours worked may be accrued as compensatory time in lieu of cash overtime. Overtime hours worked that are accrued as compensatory time will be credited at the rate of time and one half. In the absence of an agreement to credit overtime hours worked as compensatory time, the overtime hours shall be compensated in cash at a rate of time and one half of the individual's regular rate of pay.

Accrual of Compensatory Time. Employees may, upon approval of the Sheriff, accrue compensatory time off in-lieu of pay for overtime worked. All compensatory time off shall be accrued at the rate of one and one half (1½) hours of compensatory time off for each hour of overtime worked. No employee may accumulate more than eighty (80) hours compensatory time. When eighty (80) hours is reached the employee must use some of the accumulated time before accumulating any additional compensatory time.
Accrual of Compensatory Time. Dispatch and Central Control employees may, upon approval of the Sheriff, accrue compensatory time off (CTO) in-lieu of pay for overtime worked. All compensatory time off shall be accrued at the rate of one and one half (1 ½) hour of CTO for each hour of overtime worked. No employee may accumulate more than forty (40) hours of compensatory time. When forty (40) hours is reached, the employee must use some of the accumulated time before accumulating any additional compensatory time.

Accrual of Compensatory Time. As with all overtime work, except emergency situations, all compensatory time-off in lieu of overtime payment shall have prior approval by the appropriate Department Director. Those employees having compensatory time on the record will be provided with a copy of that information each pay-day.

Employees 15 shall have until 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2023 to accomplish this reduction in compensatory 16 time hours. Any compensatory time hours (in excess of 120) remaining to their credit after 17 11:59 p.m. shall be paid to employees.
