Procedures and Practices. FOR UNITED KINGDOM SUPPORT Introduction This document sets out the procedures and practices applicable to multilateral support provided by the United Kingdom, including payment, procurement and audit arrangements. Disbursement of the Grant In line with UK financial rules and regulations, disbursements, in advance of operational need should only be made when they have been properly justified. This justification will need to be set out in writing as part of this arrangement. All payments will be made on submission of an appropriate claim from the Partner. All claims should be accompanied by any relevant supporting documents and should include the necessary information to allow DFID to make payments to the bank details provided on the DFID supplier portal. The Request for Payment template in Annex 2 sets out the recommended format for this information which must include the following information: Title of Grant Project location/official address Amount of claim Details of expenditure Bank account details (To corroborate with the Bank details provided on DFID’s Supplier Portal) Details of audit discharge being applied to the project (See audit discharge options below) All claims must also include the following certification statements: “I certify that this claim is correct and that the sum requested is properly due on the basis of the information provided, project objectives and on the work carried out or future work plans. I have the authority to sign this on behalf of…” All outstanding claims must be submitted within six months of the project end date. DFID’s funding amount is agreed as per the Great British Pound (GBP) value, as at the date of agreement. DFID’s preferred currency for disbursements is in GBP, however where it is more efficient to pay in foreign currency, DFID is prepared to do so. The funding amount will however still be that agreed in GBP and any exchange rate fluctuations will be treated in a similar manner to other project budget changes.

The role of the stand-by nurse will be divided equally each month among staff. The nurses will sign themselves up for this role and are responsible for finding a replacement in the event that they are not able to meet their commitment. In the event of an illness or bereavement, the nurse should contact the Manager or her designate to assign a replacement. Inthe event that a part-time nurse is scheduled to be on standby, but has no scheduledwork for that day, may request that any scheduled standby hours be reassigned to another nurse.
