Other Employment definition

Other Employment means work of a Temporary or Casual nature that may be made available by the Municipality to Laid-off Employees and does not constitute a recall as herein defined, nor does it qualify a Laid-off Employee for seniority accumulation.
Other Employment. The term “Other Employment” means employment with any person, firm, company, corporation, government agency, municipality or Self-Employment, and does not include employment as an Active Member of the Bureau of Fire or Bureau of Police, or work performed as part of an approved Transitional Duty Return to Work Program in accordance with Administrative Rule 5.10.03.
Other Employment means employment on a more than half-time basis. For these purposes, any service as an “employee” within the meaning of M.G.L. c. 149, § 148B shall be considered to be “employment.”

Examples of Other Employment in a sentence

  • None of Company’s or its subcontractors’ owners, employees, directors, or contractors will be in violation of the City’s Conflict of Interest Policy for City, Secondary and Other Employment Relationships (HR 13) if a Contract is awarded to the Company.

Other Employment is defined as employment which would offer a comparable health insurance plan or policy. A health insurance plan or policy is considered comparable if it provides hospital and medical benefits that are substantially equivalent to the standard health insurance plan established under s. 40.52(1)
Other Employment shall include any services as an employee, independent contractor, consultant or advisor other than Limited Consulting Services. Limited Consulting Services means services provided by you to any one or more unrelated employers or businesses (other than the Company) prior to or as of January 1, 2002 which (i) consist solely of consultation and advice directed to specific aspects of the business or affairs of such employer or business (each, with its affiliates, an "Employer") and not to the business or affairs of the Employer, or of an operating unit or segment thereof, as a whole; (ii) do not extend, for any Employer, for a period of more than 120 days, whether or not consecutive; (iii) do not involve or result in your employment by an Employer, or the provision by you of consulting or advisory services (other than Limited Consulting Services) to such Employer, or your becoming an officer or director of such Employer, in each such case at any time prior to March 1, 2003; (iv) do not involve or result in an agreement or arrangement (whether or not in writing), at any time prior to March 1, 2003, for your employment by, or your provision of consulting or advisory services to, or your becoming an officer or director of, an Employer; (v) do not result in your being eligible for benefits from the Employer of a kind referred to in the second sentence of paragraph 8 hereof; and (vi) do not preclude you from performing your obligations under paragraph 7 hereof. You will, prior to performing Limited Consulting Services for any Employer, advise the Company in writing of the name of such Employer (except that you need not advise the Company of the name of an Employer that does not engage in any business that is competitive with any business of the Company) and the nature and principal terms of such Limited Consulting Services and shall certify in writing that such services will constitute Limited Consulting Services hereunder. In the event that the Chairman of the Board of the Company believes that any services so to be provided by you should not be deemed to be Limited Consulting Services, such matter shall be referred for resolution to Jack H. Nusbaum, whose determination with respect thereto shall be final and binding upon you and the Company, and each of you and the Company agrees not to challenge such determination in any action or proceeding.
