STRIKES AND WORK STOPPAGES. The Union shall not instigate, sponsor, or encourage any activity or action in contravention of the provisions or intent of this Article. No employee shall, alone or in concert, engage in, initiate, sponsor, support or direct a strike, work stoppage, or refuse in the course of employment to perform assigned duties; or withhold, curtail or restrict services or otherwise interfere with the operations of the Department or encourage others to do so; or engage, or participate in any other form of job action.

Neither the Drivers Association nor any person acting in its behalf will cause, authorize, or support, nor will any of its employees take part in any strike or stoppage of work for any purpose whatsoever. It is agreed by the Drivers Association that the Board, in the event of violation of the terms of this Article, shall have the right, in addition to the foregoing, and any other remedies available at law, to seek injunctive relief and damages against the Association.

In consideration of the rights and privileges extended to the employee organization pursuant to or arising from the provisions of this instrument, the parties hereto agree that during the term of this agreement, there shall be no strikes of any kind whatsoever; no work stoppages; slowdowns; interference or interruption with the operations of the schools by any employees or Ohio Association of Public School Employees, Local No. 273, other than is permitted in accordance with O.R.C. 4117 and this agreement; nor shall there be any strike or interruption in work during the term of this agreement in support of or because of any disputes or disagreements between any persons (or other employees or unions) who are not signatory parties to this agreement.
STRIKES AND WORK STOPPAGES. 18.1 In view of the orderly procedures established by this Agreement for the settling of disputes and the handling of grievances, during the life of the Agreement there will be no strike, slowdown, or stoppage of work, either complete or partial, and there will be no lock-out. All Union Representatives have a special obligation to actively discourage any work stoppage.

The School Board and the Association mutually recognize that their first obligation is to the public, and that the right of students and residents of this district to the continuous and uninterrupted operation of their schools is of paramount importance. During the term of this Agreement, neither the Association nor any individual principal shall engage in any strike, work stoppage or similar withholding of services. In the event of strikes or work stoppages by other employees, principals covered under this Agreement are to be considered on continuing employment for the purpose of carrying out School Board policy and for insuring the protection of personnel and property. If a strike necessitates extending the school year and results in extending the principal’s contract year, payment for each additional work day will be based upon each individual principal’s annual salary divided by the annual number of work days under such principal’s contract.

The principals covered in this agreement, in the event of a strike or work stoppage by other groups of district employees, will consider themselves to be on duty for the purpose of carrying out Board policy and insuring the safety of personnel and property. In no event will the compensation for principals be halted or suspended due to strikes or work stoppages of other district employees.
STRIKES AND WORK STOPPAGES. During the term of this Agreement, there shall be no strikes, stoppages of work, slowdown, or any direct interference with the City's operations. Any employee participating in such actions may be disciplined or dismissed. Any claim by the City of violation of this section shall be presented to the President the Union. in writing and if unresolved within five (5) working days shall be subject to the arbitration provisions of this Agreement. The Union agrees that pending the raising, processing and settlement of a contract violation, that there should be no strikes, stoppages of work, slowdowns, or any direct or indirect interference with the City's operations. The parties agree that this Agreement constitutes the entire contract between them governing the rates of pay and working conditions of the employees in the bargaining unit during the term hereof and settles all demands and issues on all matters subject to collective bargaining, including any demands made by the Police during negotiations.
