Directing Requests. Requests in writing for negotiation meetings from the Association will be made directly to the Superintendent or his/her designee. Requests from the Board will be made in writing to the President of the Association. Requests for negotiations shall be submitted between 60 and 90 days prior to the expiration of the contract term.

Release time shall be arranged for the Association representatives when meetings are held during school hours.

A mutually convenient meeting date shall be set within fifteen (15) days of the date of the request, but in no case will a meeting be set before April 1, 2017 and no later than May 1, 2017 to begin master agreement negotiations for the following year.

WINDOW FOR OPENING NEGOTIATIONS: Negotiations for a subsequent contract shall begin no sooner than one hundred twenty (120) days and no later than sixty (60) days before the expiration date of this contract. The Superintendent or the Association Negotiations Chairperson shall request a meeting with the other to establish a mutually acceptable date for the first negotiation session.
Directing Requests. Requests for meetings from H.E.A. normally will be made directly to the appropriate chairperson of the School Board Committee. Requests from the Superintendent or the Board or their representatives will be made to the president of H.E.A. A mutually convenient meeting date shall be set and to be held within 20 days of the date of the request. Each party will supply a current mailing address to the other party.
