Skills Development. The Company acknowledges the changing pace of technology in the electrical contracting industry and the need for employees to understand those changes and have the necessary skill requirements to keep the Company at the forefront of the industry. The Parties to this Agreement recognise that in order to increase the efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of the Company, a commitment to training and skill development is required. Skills Development. The Company recognises that appropriate training and development is critical for all employees. Training will be directed towards developing a highly skilled and productive work force, and a supportive working environment designed to broaden an employee's skills base. Every employee will be given the opportunity to undertake training, subject to the requirements to maintain productivity levels, the skills needed within the Organisation and the financial constraints of the Company. The Company will endeavour to provide employees with career opportunities through appropriate training and education subject to these opportunities being available. Training programs will be structured to meet all current legislative requirements and where practicable, Training, learning outcomes, assessment and certification will comply with the standards determined by the National Training Board.
Skills Development. These programmes shall relate to the changing needs of Council in order to bring benefits to Council in improved productivity and efficiency and may provide improved career options for employees.

Assignments: The extern will be assigned work that is similar to that of an entry-level professional staff in the discipline concerned, including exposure to a broad range of professional skills. Assignments may include drafting documents, researching and writing memoranda, attending conferences or negotiations and observing or participating in meetings. Administrative work will be kept to a minimum. Feedback: The extern will be provided specific, individualized and timely feedback on their work. Observation: The extern will have opportunities to observe IMO meetings, delegate/staff/strategy meetings, and other appropriate professional activities. Opportunities for Reflection: The extern will meet with his/her supervisor, other members of the Division and staff to discuss his/her observations, experiences, and other issues relevant to the profession.
Skills Development. Where an employee has been given the opportunity to learn new skills through a “hands on” training program as a result of a full time vacancy arising, an appropriate skills development time frame will be negotiated. At the end of this period employees will be given the opportunity to enter into a classification review provided that the new skills are outside of the existing classification level and the organisation has an existing establishment position available.
Skills Development. British Columbia will implement a benefit for the education and training of EI Clients so they can obtain the skills necessary for employment. This benefit will include the costs ordinarily paid by British Columbia over and above the amounts recovered through tuition fees, with respect to each EI Client receiving financial assistance under Skills Development and attending a publicly funded training institution.

Skills Development. Waste Removal Services shall have specific targets that address Eskom’s core, scarce and critical skills and the SETA’s scarce and critical skills. Tenderers shall develop candidates selected from local to site regions as shown in Figure 2. The aim is to benefit the currently unemployed graduates from school; FET and TVET (Technical, Vocational, Education and Training) campuses; and universities. The composition of these candidates must reflect the population demographics of the country. Note: This target for skills development candidate categorically exclude Eskom employees and registered learners. Tenderers shall develop this candidate directly by themselves, through their tenderer network or through SETA accredited training providers. Tenderers should note that they are fully responsible for the cost of skills development, and Eskom shall not make any financial contributions towards the fulfilment of this obligation. Tenderer is advised to approach the relevant SETAs for incentives, grants and subsidies as well as the South African Revenue Services for tax rebates which are made available to support skills development initiatives.

Skills Development. The opportunity to develop the player’s skills for use after the end of the playing career shall be taken into consideration during the period of employment. The responsibility for such skills development is shared by the employer and the player. Development appraisal meetings shall be held at least once every calendar year and shall be initiated by the employer.
