Senior Technicians o The Union and the Employer agree that the intent of the Senior Technician Classification is to recognise an expert-level telecommunications technician who provides technical leadership and competent craft skills. It is agreed that the Senior Technician uses his technical leadership and craft skills in the following specific areas: ▪ To provide an exceptional level of ongoing technical expertise in his major disciplines, for the benefit of KMTS operations and KMTS customers. ▪ To provide an ongoing focus on the delivery of high quality customer service. ▪ To promote and support internal teamwork to achieve objectives. ▪ To take a leadership role in the training and development of apprentices and technicians. ▪ To promote and support safe working practices in KMTS. ▪ To support the development of technical solutions to improve service or to upgrade the KMTS network, working in partnership with KMTS management or suppliers. The Union and the Employer agree that it is imperative that Senior Technicians maintain their technical expertise at an expert level through personal initiative and through ongoing training arranged and financed by the employer. The Union and the Employer further agree that the annual job performance rating of Senior Technicians will be managed through the City of Kenora’s Job Planning & Review Program, and that Senior Technicians must maintain a satisfactory performance rating in order to retain Senior Technician status. The Union and KMTS agree that there will be a minimum of three (3) Senior Technicians as listed below, provided these positions are filled by highly skilled Journeypersons meeting the qualifications identified in the Craft Progression Program. • Senior Outside Plant Technician • Senior Central Office Technician • Senior Business Systems Technician The Union and the Employer further agree that there can be one (1) additional Senior Technician in each of the above three Classifications. These positions will not be filled until twelve months after the ratification of this Collective Agreement, and will be filled only if there are qualified applicants. Former Class 1A and Class 1 Journeypersons are invited to apply in writing for promotion to Senior Technician in accordance with the Craft Progression Program. Promotions will be back-dated to date of ratification. Those Class 1A and Class 1 Journeypersons who wish to be promoted to Senior Technician must apply within 30 calendar days from ratification of the Collective Agree...

Senior Technicians. The Employer will select Senior Technicians from among qualified bargaining unit technicians. The Employer will select employees for this classification in its sole discretion and determination of whether an employee, by virtue of his/her ability and experience, is capable of working independently with minimal supervision; is capable of providing guidance to other technicians and/or functioning as a team lead; can instruct new technicians; and can be assigned a schedule that supplements the Employer's need to provide coverage and insure stability of the technology network. When senior technician job opportunities occur, the Employer will follow the job posting provisions of this Agreement and will consider the qualifications of all bargaining unit technicians who apply for the position. If no qualified technician applies, accepts an offer, or desires to relocate to where there is a business need for this classification, then the Employer may pursue external candidates for the position. Senior Technicians will receive a minimum weekly salary that is $110.00 per week greater than the effective third year wage scale established for a technician. Senior Technicians will also be eligible for all differentials provided under this Agreement. As a condition of this classification and in exchange for its higher weekly salary, Senior Technicians will be required to remain on-call at times designated by the Employer and Sections 5, 6, and 7 of Article 19 will not apply to Senior Technicians, except that Senior Technicians will receive premium pay for any overtime actually worked.
Senior Technicians. (l) For production work, the most senior employees normally performing the work during the week on that shift shall perform the work if desired. If no senior employee desires to work, the least senior employee normally performing the work during the week on that shift will be required to work.

  • Subcontractors The Contractor will not subcontract any work under the Contract without prior written consent of the Department. The Contractor is fully responsible for satisfactory completion of all its subcontracted work. The Department supports diversity in its procurements and contracts, and requests that the Contractor offer subcontracting opportunities to certified woman-, veteran-, and minority-owned small businesses.   • Sub-Contractors Transfer Agent may, without further consent on the part of Customer, subcontract with other subcontractors for telephone and mailing services as may be required from time to time; provided, however, that the Transfer Agent shall be as fully responsible to the Customer for the acts and omissions of any subcontractor as it is for its own acts and omissions.

  • Supplier Personnel The Customer and Supplier agree and acknowledge that in the event of the Supplier ceasing to provide the Services or part of them for any reason, Call Off Schedule 10 (Staff Transfer) shall apply. The Supplier shall not and shall procure that any relevant Sub-Contractor shall not take any step (expressly or implicitly and directly or indirectly by itself or through any other person) without the prior written consent of the Customer to dissuade or discourage any employees engaged in the provision of the Services from transferring their employment to the Customer and/or the Replacement Supplier and/or Replacement Sub-Contractor. During the Termination Assistance Period, the Supplier shall and shall procure that any relevant Sub-Contractor shall: give the Customer and/or the Replacement Supplier and/or Replacement Sub-Contractor reasonable access to the Supplier's personnel and/or their consultation representatives to present the case for transferring their employment to the Customer and/or the Replacement Supplier and/or to discuss or consult on any measures envisaged by the Customer, Replacement Supplier and/or Replacement Sub-Contractor in respect of persons expected to be Transferring Supplier Employees; co-operate with the Customer and the Replacement Supplier to ensure an effective consultation process and smooth transfer in respect of Transferring Supplier Employees in line with good employee relations and the effective continuity of the Services. The Supplier shall immediately notify the Customer or, at the direction of the Customer, the Replacement Supplier of any period of notice given by the Supplier or received from any person referred to in the Staffing Information, regardless of when such notice takes effect. The Supplier shall not for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of transfer re-employ or re-engage or entice any employees, suppliers or Sub-Contractors whose employment or engagement is transferred to the Customer and/or the Replacement Supplier except that this paragraph 10.5 shall not apply where an offer is made pursuant to an express right to make such offer under Call Off Schedule 10.1 (Staff Transfer) in respect of a Transferring Supplier Employee not identified in the Supplier's Final Supplier Personnel List.

  • Contractor’s Staff 1. The Contractor shall maintain adequate staff to meet the Contractor’s obligations under this Agreement.

  • Architects, Consultants and Contractors Landlord and Tenant hereby acknowledge and agree that: (i) the general contractor and any subcontractors for the Tenant Improvements shall be selected by Landlord, subject to Tenant’s approval, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld, conditioned or delayed, and (ii) DGA shall be the architect (the “TI Architect”) for the Tenant Improvements.

  • Contractor’s Project Manager and Key Personnel Contractor shall appoint a Project Manager to direct the Contractor’s efforts in fulfilling Contractor’s obligations under this Contract. This Project Manager shall be subject to approval by the County and shall not be changed without the written consent of the County’s Project Manager, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld. The Contractor’s Project Manager shall be assigned to this project for the duration of the Contract and shall diligently pursue all work and services to meet the project time lines. The County’s Project Manager shall have the right to require the removal and replacement of the Contractor’s Project Manager from providing services to the County under this Contract. The County’s Project manager shall notify the Contractor in writing of such action. The Contractor shall accomplish the removal within five (5) business days after written notice by the County’s Project Manager. The County’s Project Manager shall review and approve the appointment of the replacement for the Contractor’s Project Manager.   • Contractor Personnel Contractor's staff is expected to present a professional appearance. All personnel of the Contractor will be neat, well groomed, properly uniformed in industry standard uniforms and are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a responsible and courteous manner while performing any work under this Agreement and/or whenever they are on District property. The following code of conduct will be adhered to by the Contractor, his agent(s) and/or his employees. If Contractor fails to ensure that its employees or other agents comply with these requirements, then Contractor may be terminated for cause under this Agreement:
