Position Qualifications. An interested employee may apply in writing to the Superintendent, or designee, within the five (5) day posting period. The Employer shall notify a school year employee of vacancies occurring during the summer months (June, July and August) by sending notice of same to each interested employee using an employee-furnished stamped envelope. The Employer agrees to notify the Association President in writing of any vacancies occurring during the summer months.

Position Qualifications. The first consideration in filling vacant positions with an internal applicant shall be the applicant's ability to meet the primary qualifications of the position. The second consideration shall be seniority within the bargaining unit. If the District determines that seniority rights should not govern because a less senior person is better qualified for the position, the District shall, upon request and within five (5) days, set forth the reasons why the senior employee was bypassed.
