Overtime Work and Pay. Employees may be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime as assigned by the Employer. All overtime work must be approved in advance. When authorized by departmental policy and approved in advance by an eligible employee's supervisor, compensatory time may be granted to employees in lieu of overtime pay. In no case shall overtime pay or compensatory time be granted to employees in grades twelve (12) and above. The overtime pay/compensatory time status codes set forth in Appendix "A" of this Agreement (OTC 1, 2, 3, or 4) shall be applicable to bargaining unit employees as defined below:

Overtime Work and Pay. Subd. 1. General Overtime Provisions Employees may be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime as assigned by the Employer. All overtime work must be approved in advance. Upon mutual agreement of the employee and the Employer, overtime may be paid in the form of compensatory time off at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) hours off for each hour of overtime worked. Overtime pay or compensatory time shall be granted at the rate of one and one-half times the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day (or full work shift) or for all time worked in excess of forty (40) hours per week, and at the rate of two (2) times the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay for all time worked on the seventh (7th) consecutive day of a work week. Compressed work week arrangements voluntarily agreed upon by the employee, the Union and the employee’s supervisors shall be exempt from the daily overtime provisions of this paragraph. There shall be no duplication or pyramiding of overtime rates of pay under the provisions of this Agreement. Compensation shall not be paid more than once for the same hours under any provisions of this Agreement.

Overtime Work and Pay. Employees are subject to a varied work schedule. The standard workweek is Sunday through Saturday. Overtime, at the rate of one and one-half (1.5) times the employee's regular rate, when approved in advance, will be paid after eight (8) hours on any day and after forty (40) hours for the workweek. All work performed by an employee on the seventh (7th) consecutive day of work shall be compensated at two (2) times the employee's regular hourly rate of pay. All employees may be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime as assigned by the Employer. Overtime which can reasonably be scheduled at least seven (7) days in advance shall be posted to allow employees sign-up opportunity. Overtime not posted in advance shall be offered using operational seniority among qualified and available employees. Where there are no qualified and available employees present to perform an overtime assignment, the Employer shall use a call-down process in order of operational seniority.
