Medical Services Plan and Extended Health Benefits. (i) The Employer shall contribute eighty percent (80%) of the monthly cost of the Medical Services Plan of British Columbia and of the Extended Health Benefits Plan under the trusteeship of the Capital Area Benefit Advisory Group for regular employees, provided that the employee agrees to contribute the remaining twenty percent (20%) of both plans by payroll deduction.

Medical Services Plan and Extended Health Benefits. The Employer shall contribute eighty percent (80%) of the monthly cost of a regular employee’s participation in the Medical Services Plan and the Extended Health Benefits Plan under the trusteeship of the Capital Area Benefit Advisory Group, following completion of their probation period, provided that the employee agrees to contribute the remaining twenty percent (20%) on a check-off basis. The Extended Health Benefit coverage shall include vision care providing for full reimbursement towards the cost of the purchase of one (Ip)air of eyeglasses every two (2) years for each regular employee and his dependents to a maximum cost of four hundred dollars ($400.00) per pair and effective January an employee or eligible dependent shall be entitled to apply the four hundred dollars ($400.00) for eye glasses (each two years) to laser eye surgery; hearing aids to a maximum of two thousand dollars ($2000.00) every five (5) years; an unlimited lifetime maximum; and no deductible. Extended Health Benefit coverage shall also include eye examinations for each regular employee and dependents to a maximum of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) every two (2) years. The parties agree that the Employer shall utilize the employee portion of the rebate to improve the Extended Health Benefit coverage. A newly hired regular employee may enrol in the Medical Services Plan on the first day of the month following their commencement of employment by paying one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of the premium.
Medical Services Plan and Extended Health Benefits. Regular full-time employees who have completed their probationary period shall be entitled to MSP and EHB coverage with the Exhibition, paying sixty percent (60%) of the premium. Included in the Extended Health Care Plan is eyeglass coverage; maximum coverage shall be one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per person claimable in a twenty-four (24) month period, subject always to the provisions of the plan. Effective August 22, 2008, the above eyeglass coverage shall be increased to two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) in twenty-four (24) months. If an employee, after becoming eligible for such benefits is laid off, and is subsequently re- employed within twelve (12) months of the date of such layoff, the Exhibition agrees to resume payment of sixty percent (60%) of the premium for such MSP and EHB coverage immediately upon such re-employment, but if he/she is not re-employed within the period of twelve (12) months as aforesaid, the employee shall again be required to complete the probation period before being eligible for MSP and EHB coverage as herein provided. The Medical Services Plan and Extended Benefits coverage will be based upon a contribution by the Exhibition of sixty percent (60%) of the total premiums with the contribution allocated in a manner which will give the best income tax treatment to the employees, which allocation may vary from time to time.
Medical Services Plan and Extended Health Benefits. 21.01 In consideration of any employee contributing twenty percent (20%) of the monthly cost of that employee’s participation in the British Columbia Medical Services Plan and Extended Health Benefits coverage, the Employer shall contribute the remaining eighty percent (80%) of the said monthly cost.
