Eye Examinations. For all covered EMPLOYEES required to use VDTs on average at least two (2) hours per day, the Department will provide a base line eye examination at the Occupational Safety and Health facility ("OSH"), followed by an eye examination at OSH once a year.

Eye Examinations. Employees classified as Microcomputer Operators or Data Entry Operators who regularly use a VDT and such other employees as are agreed upon by the Union College/Campus Committee, (constituted under Article 4.6) shall, at the commencement of employment in such classification and annually thereafter, be given the opportunity to take an eye examination by an optometrist who is qualified to give the following tests: - Unaided Visual Acuity (letter chart test); - Refractive Findings; - Corrected Visual Acuity; - Amplitude Accommodation; - Suppression; - Distance Muscle Balance (Xxxxxx Xxx); - One Metre Muscle Balance (Xxxxxx Xxx); - Near Muscle Balance (Xxxxxx Wing); - Slit Lamp Biomicroscopy. The College shall pay the difference, if any, between the fees paid to the optometrist and the amount paid by OHIP. The employee shall sign a form authorizing release of the optometrist's report to the College, and a copy of the report shall be supplied to the College and to the employee.
Eye Examinations. Operators and users shall have their eyes examined within two (2) months of being assigned to such a position. The examination shall be done by an optometrist or ophthalmologist covered by the District’s hospital/medical or vision care insurance. All operators shall have their eyes examined annually thereafter. In addition to routine optical testing, the examination shall include tests for visual field acuity, color vision, cataracts, and accommodation. Operators shall inform the attending physician that they are VDT operators and that the above conditions must be tested for. Operators required by an optometrist or ophthalmologist to have corrective lenses required specifically and exclusively for VDT use shall be covered by the VSP/VDT plan for lenses, frames (least expensive), and basic treatment for the initial prescription and each time the prescription changes (frames to be replaced when they are no longer serviceable). If an operator is required by an optometrist or ophthalmologist to have an eye examination more frequently than once a year, the cost of the additional examination(s) shall be covered by the plan. Lenses and frames not required exclusively for VDT use shall be paid for by the operator who may utilize the benefits available from the District’s hospital/medical and/or vision care insurance plans.
Eye Examinations. The City and the Union agree that the subject of eye examinations for employees required to use video display equipment should by referred to the Joint Labor-Management Health & Safety Committee for review.
Eye Examinations. All employees who regularly work at display monitors are encouraged to take annual ophthalmologic examinations appropriate for individuals who work at them. Employees who take such examinations will receive their regular salaries for time lost from scheduled work for this purpose.
