Layoff and Reemployment Procedures. 11.4.3 In cases of promotion, the original hire date would be retained for seniority in the lower position, but the date of promotion would determine the seniority for the higher position. Example: Start in Range 12 on 9/6/94. Promotion to Range 14 on 9/6/95. Hire date for Range 12 position would be 9/6/94, but hire date for Range 14 position would be 9/6/95.
