Initial Employment. On recruitment of tradesmen whose regular residence* or place of recruitment, whichever is closer to the project, is between ninety-six (96) to one hundred and eighty-nine (189) road-driven kilometers from the project, the Employer shall pay $34.00 effective May 1, 2020 for the initial trip to the Project. *As defined in Section 1 above.
Initial Employment. On recruitment of tradesmen who live between 80 to 161 radius kilometres from the project, effective September 23, 2010, the Employer shall pay $30.00 for the initial trip to the project.
Initial Employment. Each new Association employee initially hired for a position in the Association shall have a probationary period of one (1) year. No probationary period exists for employees who assumed an Association position prior to June 30, 2000.

At the time of initial employment in the District, each teacher not employed for primarily supervisory or administrative duties shall be placed on the salary schedule at the appropriate step representing teaching experience and educational attainment. However, placement on the appropriate experience step shall be subject to the following:

At the discretion of the principal, subject to the approval of the Superintendent, credit upon hiring or rehiring may be given for prior full-time teaching experience in public or private schools, college teaching experience or other experience. Normal progression, if service is satisfactory, may be anticipated thereafter starting from this point.
Initial Employment. Classified personnel must have been employed by the District at least six (6) months prior to July 1 of the contract year. Vacation accrual during the initial fiscal year of employment shall be five-twelfths (5/12) of a day per month. If an employee is terminated during their initial fiscal year they shall not be entitled to any vacation pay. Employees must be hired prior to January 1st of a fiscal year to accrue vacation leave in their first year in keeping with the salary advancement schedule. Half-time personnel must meet the same criteria.
