EVALUATION OF CLASSROOM TEACHERS. A. As used in this section, “certificated classroom teacher” and “teacher” mean a certificated employee who provides academically-focused instruction to students and holds one or more of the certificates pursuant to WAC 181-79A-140(1) through (3) and (6)(a) through (e) and (g). All certificated staff including counselors and academic coaches fall under these guidelines.
EVALUATION OF CLASSROOM TEACHERS. (A) Use of the Evaluation System Classroom teachers and librarians who provide academically focused instruction to students and hold one or more teaching certificates (as defined in WAC 392-191A-030) shall be evaluated using the Teacher Principal Evaluation Project model described in this section. All other employees (e.g., ESAs, Counselors, TOSAs, Instructional Coaches, Athletic Directors and CTE Directors) shall be evaluated using the evaluation model described in Article III, Section 13. The District and Association shall meet to negotiate as needed upon the request of either party regarding the evaluation system placement of any new positions or positions in which the placement is unclear.
EVALUATION OF CLASSROOM TEACHERS. As used in this section, “certificated classroom teacher” and “teacher” mean a certificated employee who provides academically-focused instruction to students and holds one or more of the certificates pursuant to WAC 181-79A-140(1) through (3) and (6)(a) through (e) and (g). All certificated staff including counselors and academic coaches fall under these guidelines. It shall be the responsibility of a principal or his or her designee to evaluate (unless a conflict of interest) all classroom teachers in his or her school. During each school year all classroom teachers shall be observed for the purposes of evaluation at least twice in the performance of their assigned duties. Total observation time for each teacher for each school year shall be not less than sixty minutes. A teacher on provisional status as defined in RCW 28A.405.220 shall be observed at least three times in the performance of his or her duties and the total observation time for the school year shall not be less than ninety minutes. Provisional employees shall be subject to the provisions of RCW 28A.405.220 and will not be entitled to probation prior to nonrenewal. Following each observation, or series of observations, the principal or other evaluator shall promptly document the results of the observation in writing, and shall provide the teacher with a copy thereof within five days after such report is prepared. New teachers shall be observed at least three times for a total observation time of ninety minutes during the first ninety calendar days of their employment period. An additional three observations will be conducted for a total observation time of ninety minutes before the final evaluation. (6 observations and 2 evaluations totaling 180 minutes). Procedures for Evaluation of Classroom Teachers The evaluative criteria must contain as a minimum the criteria established by the superintendent of public instruction. Washington State criteria: 1 Centering instruction on high expectations for student achievement 2 Demonstrating effective teaching practices 3 Recognizing individual student learning needs and developing strategies to address those needs 4 Providing clear and intentional focus on subject matter content and curriculum;
EVALUATION OF CLASSROOM TEACHERS. (XXXXXXXXX MODEL) RSD and REA have jointly sponsored the adoption and implementation of the State Teacher Evaluation requirements set forth in SB6696. The parties established a joint Core Group to provide leadership on the complex implementation issues and meaningful and high quality conversations fostering professional growth for all staff. We recognize that learning the Xxxxxxxxx framework and the state criteria will take time and training. To that effort, we have developed an MOU regarding the Renton Teacher Evaluation Project (see Appendix F) that will guide the initial implementation of this new model for our classroom teachers.   • Orientation and In-Service Program The Hospital recognizes the need for a Hospital Orientation Program of such duration as it may deem appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Hospital and the nurses involved.

  • – ORIENTATION AND IN SERVICE 20.01 An orientation and in service program will be provided to all employees. These programs shall be reviewed and discussed from time to time by members of the Union-Management Committee.

  • Contractor Certification for Contractor Employees Introduction Texas Education Code Chapter 22 requires entities that contract with school districts to provide services to obtain criminal history record information regarding covered employees. Contractors must certify to the district that they have complied. Covered employees with disqualifying criminal histories are prohibited from serving at a school district. Definitions: Covered employees: Employees of a contractor or subcontractor who have or will have continuing duties related to the service to be performed at the District and have or will have direct contact with students. The District will be the final arbiter of what constitutes direct contact with students. Disqualifying criminal history: Any conviction or other criminal history information designated by the District, or one of the following offenses, if at the time of the offense, the victim was under 18 or enrolled in a public school: (a) a felony offense under Title 5, Texas Penal Code; (b) an offense for which a defendant is required to register as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure; or (c) an equivalent offense under federal law or the laws of another state. I certify that: NONE (Section A) of the employees of Contractor and any subcontractors are covered employees, as defined above. If this box is checked, I further certify that Contractor has taken precautions or imposed conditions to ensure that the employees of Contractor and any subcontractor will not become covered employees. Contractor will maintain these precautions or conditions throughout the time the contracted services are provided. OR SOME (Section B) or all of the employees of Contractor and any subcontractor are covered employees. If this box is checked, I further certify that: (1) Contractor has obtained all required criminal history record information regarding its covered employees. None of the covered employees has a disqualifying criminal history. (2) If Contractor receives information that a covered employee subsequently has a reported criminal history, Contractor will immediately remove the covered employee from contract duties and notify the District in writing within 3 business days. (3) Upon request, Contractor will provide the District with the name and any other requested information of covered employees so that the District may obtain criminal history record information on the covered employees. (4) If the District objects to the assignment of a covered employee on the basis of the covered employee's criminal history record information, Contractor agrees to discontinue using that covered employee to provide services at the District. Noncompliance or misrepresentation regarding this certification may be grounds for contract termination. None Texas Business and Commerce Code § 272 Requirements as of 9-1-2017 SB 807 prohibits construction contracts to have provisions requiring the contract to be subject to the laws of another state, to be required to litigate the contract in another state, or to require arbitration in another state. A contract with such provisions is voidable.   • Orientation The Employer shall provide planned and paid Orientation Programs of such content and duration as it deems appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Employer and the Nurses involved. Such Nurses will not be considered part of core staffing during their Orientation Program nor will they be provided with primary assignments.

  • Office of Inspector General Investigative Findings Expert Review In accordance with Senate Bill 799, Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., if Texas Government Code, Section 531.102(m-1)(2) is applicable to this Contract, Contractor affirms that it possesses the necessary occupational licenses and experience.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "C", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Faculty Selection, Supervision, and Evaluation A. Faculty for a dual credit course will be approved and employed by Hill College. The instructor must meet credential requirements of Hill College and minimum requirements as specified by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Each faculty member assigned to teach an academic course will have a master’s degree plus 18 hours in the specific discipline. Technical course instructors will have at least an associate degree and three years of work experience in the related business or industry.

  • Education, Training and Experience Grade 12 and two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction.

  • New Hire Orientation The Union’s Business Representative or designee shall be given the opportunity to make a membership presentation at the employer’s regularly scheduled new employee orientation sessions.
