Student Learning. How will the students be involved in their learning?
Student Learning. Once the proposed program has experienced a few graduation cycles, the program will seek accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology’s Technology Accreditation Commission (ABET/TAC). Student Learning. The proposed minor and requirements are based on surveys of alumni and employers (comprehensive surveys conducted in 2005), student interest at national conferences, and student outcomes assessments that highlight the importance of special training (minors) for some graduates. At present, there are no other science minors with this type of interdisciplinary focus. The option of the geochemistry minor will enhance student learning by providing valuable, practical training that prepares students for graduate studies and professional employment requiring experience in geochemistry. Program effectiveness will be improved by increasing enrollments in the listed courses. No new resources or changes in time commitment by faculty are necessary for this minor. Examples of Student Learning in a sentence

  • Faculty teaching dual credit courses will teach using the respective course syllabus that contains the Student Learning Objectives (Herein referred to as “SLOs”).

  • Boards shall provide a list of pre-approved assessment tools consistent with their Board improvement plan for student achievement and which is compliant with Ministry of Education PPM (PPM 155: Diagnostic Assessment in Support of Student Learning, date of issue January 7, 2013).

  • At least 60% of all students registered for at least 40 days will demonstrate achievement of at least one of their Individualized Student Learning Plan behavior goals.

  • Achieve 100% completion of Individualized Student Learning Plans for regular education students enrolled and registered at least 15 days.

  • Instructional Practice appeals shall be submitted by an instructional employee by June 15, Student Learning Growth appeals shall be submitted by an instructional employee within thirty (30) duty days of receiving the Student Learning Growth score.

Related to Student Learning

  • Free appropriate public education means special education and related services that are provided at public expense and under public supervision and direction, and without charge, meet the standards of the Department of Public Instruction, include an appropriate preschool, elementary or secondary school education; and are provided in conformity with an IEP.

  • Asset Management Plan means a strategic document that states how a group of assets are to be managed over a period of time. The plan describes the characteristics and condition of infrastructure assets, the levels of service expected from them, planned actions to ensure the assets are providing the expected level of service, and financing strategies to implement the planned actions. The plan may use any appropriate format, as long as it includes the information and analysis required to be in a plan as described in Ontario’s Building Together: Guide for Asset Management Plans.

  • Public School Student Accessing Courses at a Distance means a student who is scheduled for a full course load through the District and attends all classes virtually.

  • Student Growth means the change in Student Achievement data for an individual student between two points in time. Growth may also include other measures that are rigorous and comparable across classrooms.

  • Student media advisor means an individual who is employed, appointed, or designated by the District to supervise or provide instruction with respect to student media.
