Activities to Build Partnerships. High Point Elementary offers ongoing events and programs to build partnerships with families. We agree to: Offer opportunities for parents to volunteer in the classroom and observe at the school level to support students in reading and math (STEAM Day, Reading & Math Buddies, etc.) ​ Offer Title I Parent Workshops to give parents strategies to support their child at home in reading and math. ​ Offer after school programs to support students in reading and math (STEAM Club, Alliance Enrichment, Extended Learning, Mission, etc.)​ Hold our annual International Night/Day which showcases our families and their different cultures.​ Partner with our PTO to offer community activities where our families are involved such as Back to School Picnic, Fall Festival, BINGO Night, High Hopes, Fun Run, STEAM Day, Book Fair, etc. ​ House a Parent Resource Center for parents to have access to materials and computers for use at school and home to work with their children.​ School-Family Compact High Point Elementary 2023-2024 Revised: July 10, 2023 Dear Parent/Guardian, High Point Elementary, students participating in the Title I, Part A program, and their families, agree that this compact outlines how the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement as well as describes how school and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help children achieve the State’s high standards. Activities to Build Partnerships. Summerside offers ongoing events and programs to build partnerships with families such as our Kindergarten Information Night, Open House, Kindergarten Meet the Teacher Night, Second Grade Holiday Performance, End of Year Kindergarten and Fifth Grade Celebrations, Fourth Grade Spring Performance, Field Day, Parent-Teacher Conferences and district Town Halls. Activities to Build Partnerships. There are many opportunities for par- ents, teachers, and students to build partnerships throughout the school year. Such opportunities include: Conferences Title I Meetings Student Registration Family Engagement Programs review material. Teachers, Families, and Students – Together for Success The families, students, and staff of WCHS worked to develop this School-Parent Compact. Parents suggested resources and activities to guide them in helping their students at home. Meetings are held in the spring for parents and teachers to provide input on revising the com- pact based on student need. You can always find the compact posted on the school website and copies can be found in the front office. Parent comments and suggestions are welcomed at any time and can be made by speaking with the Family Engagement Coordinator Xxx.
