The UNIVERSITY will assure that the student shall have completed the necessary educational prerequisites, to be eligible for supervised fieldwork including proof of negative TB test current within one year of supervised fieldwork and issuance of finger print clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY. 1. The University shall provide the basic academic preparation of the student interns through classroom instruction and laboratory practice and will assign to the Facility only those student interns who possess a satisfactory record of completing prerequisite portion of the curriculum and who have met the minimum requirements established by Facility for the Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY. The Medical School shall be responsible for providing a graduate medical educational experience and training program through faculty planning, teaching, supervision, and evaluation of residents/fellows. The University agrees to perform administrative functions for the benefit of the residents/fellows. These include arranging for the payment of stipends; maintaining certain resident/fellow records; administering the procedure related to the discipline of residents/fellows; and providing mechanisms for the coordination of programs among the affiliated hospitals and clinics, the Medical School, and the various clinical services. The University agrees to provide the following benefits to residents/fellows effective the date set forth in Section 1.1: Benefits as set forth in the GME Institution Policy Manual. All residents/fellows receive the following benefits regardless of appointment classification: professional liability insurance through the University covering claims related to duties performed as part of the residency/fellowship, whether such claims arise during or after the resident’s/fellow’s completion of the program; other insurance through the Office of Student Health Benefits specifically for residents/fellows that provides medical insurance and optional dependent coverage, long-term and short-term disability insurance, life insurance, and optional dental insurance at the resident’s/fellow’s cost; reasonable accommodations for residents with a documented disability as outlined in the Institution Policy Manual; and counseling and psychological support services through a residency/fellowship assistance program, including monitoring and assistance for impaired physicians consistent with professional and legal obligations. Residents/fellows who are not appointed in a training grant position are eligible to participate in the University’s dependent and health care flexible spending accounts and the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP) or the University of Minnesota Section 457 Deferred Compensation Program (457 Plan). Leave of absence benefits, which include parental/family medical, professional/academic, personal, vacation, holiday, sick, bereavement, military and jury duty/witness leave. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY a. The University agrees to exercise reasonable care to safeguard the health, safety, and property of the Resident and will make a good faith effort to repair properly reported defects in residential facilities. The University shall not be liable for failure of water supply, electrical current, or heating/cooling systems; presence of insects or vermin; or the loss, damage, or injury to a resident or his or her guest or the property of the Resident or guest. In the event of utility or facility disruptions, housing fees will not be reimbursed.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY. Responsibilities The responsibility of training teachers is shared between the University and the schools, colleges and other partner institutions. In this relationship, the University hereby agrees that it shall: Ensure that all trainees have met the current entry criteria; Ensure all trainees have been subject to a rigorous selection process designed to assess their suitability to teach and to ensure that they have the health and physical capacity to teach; In collaboration with partners, conduct a high quality, open and transparent recruitment, selection and interview process; Ensure all trainees have been subject to the appropriate pre-selection checks and confirm in writing to partners that a non-salaried trainee’s checks have been completed and that the individual has been judged by the university to be suitable to work with children. In the case of salaried routes, the responsibility lies with the employer to ensure that these checks have been carried out; Confirm in writing to partners that a non-salaried trainee’s criminal record check, including a check of the children’s barred list, has been completed and that the individual has been judged by the provider to be suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults; Establish clear safeguarding procedures and protocols that are agreed by all partners to include a common understanding across the partnership of convictions, offences, cautions and warnings that would not pose a barrier to joining an ITT programme. Ensure that the programmes: are flexible and able to meet the needs of every trainee; are designed and delivered to offer trainees specialist subject training to develop the necessary knowledge and understanding of their subjects and related pedagogy to enable them to teach across the full age and ability range of training; prepare trainees for school experience to include an understanding of child protection policies, safeguarding expectations, and staff code of conduct expectations; Be accountable for all assessment judgements and recommendations and ensure that assessment procedures are rigorous and robust and will ensure consistent and accurate judgements and that assessment moderation and standardisation procedures are robust and all recommendations for an award are secure; Ensure that up-to-date and relevant research is integral to the design, content and delivery of all programmes and that trainees are able to apply research evidence to all aspects of their teaching; Ensure that all...
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY. 4.3.1 The University shall carry out Quality Monitoring to ensure that the Services are being delivered at the performance and quality levels set out in the Schedules herein. The Practice shall co-operate with the University and provide the University with such assistance as is requested by the University in order for the University to undertake the Quality Monitoring. Quality Monitoring shall not relieve the Practice of any of its obligations under this Agreement.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY. The University shall take reasonable steps to ensure that the student is made aware of the policies, rules and regulations of the Organization as made known to the University. The University shall provide the Organization with the University’s policies, rules and regulations that are necessary for the Organization to effectively participate in the Practicum. Further, as reasonably possible, the appointed representative of the University will meet with the Organization to review the University’s and the Organization’s applicable policies, rules and regulations and to clarify any questions either party may have regarding such policies, rules or regulations. The University shall pay the Organization or a representative of the Organization an honorarium as set out in Schedule “A”, provided the Organization has complied with the terms of this Agreement including the requirement to provide the student with adequate and consistent supervision as set out in section 5.4 herein.
