Union Officer Leave. Notwithstanding Article 8.4 above, an employee elected or appointed to office in the Union which requires a part or all of the employee’s time shall be given leave of absence up to one (1) year without pay and without loss of seniority upon application.

Union Officer Leave. For those employees who are officers in the Union, the Company shall allow leaves of absence to attend meetings and to attend to Union business for a period not to exceed one (1) working day per month. Notice will be required no later than 1:00 p.m. on the day before the day of leave of absence. When making requests for leave under this Clause the Union will give reasonable consideration to the Employer’s business concerns.
Union Officer Leave. The District shall provide to the bargaining unit Chief Officer and Assistant Chief Officer each one day off with pay annually to attend Union work days, training, conferences and/or seminars. The Union shall notify the District at least one month prior to said leave. XXf TUITION REIMBURSEMENT Unit members who wish to take job-related courses at any accredited college may do so under the following conditions:

Union Officer Leave. (a) An Employee shall receive the pay and benefits provided for in this Agreement when on unpaid leave of absence pursuant to Clause 5.01 (a). However, the Union shall reimburse the Employer for all pay and benefits payable by the Employer during the period of absence or for the replacement costs, whichever is greater.

  • President’s Leave The Employer shall authorize a leave of absence with pay for the President of the Association. The leave of absence with pay shall be taken for a two-year period beginning two (2) weeks after written notice by the Association to the Bureau of Employee Relations and the newly-elected President’s agency. During such leave of absence with pay, the President shall continue to receive and retain all of his/her wages, rights, benefits, and seniority as a state employee except that all leave accumulation shall be frozen for the duration of the leave of absence. Upon returning from the leave of absence, the President shall resume earning leave at the rates appropriate to his/her service at the time of return. The Employer agrees that there shall be no action taken with respect to the President or the President’s state position prior to or following his/her return from the leave of absence because of his/her legal union activities. The Association agrees to reimburse the Employer for the full cost of the wages and benefits for the President, and to indemnify the Employer against any and all liabilities associated with the leave of absence, including but not limited to workers' compensation.

  • Union Officials 1. The Union will notify the Company in writing of the election, appointment, or removal of Union shop xxxxxxx(s). The District Lodge will notify the Company in writing of the Committee members at that location.

  • Union Office Upon application by the Union, in writing, the Hospital will give reasonable consideration to a request for leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to full-time Union office. It is understood that not more than one (1) employee in the bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave, if granted, shall be for a period of one (1) calendar year (in the case of the Union President, two (2) calendar years) from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties.   • Chief Operating Officer Subject to the powers of the Company Board, the chief executive officer and the president, the chief operating officer of the Company shall have general and active management of the business of the Company. The chief operating officer shall see that all orders and resolutions of the president are carried into effect.   • Vacations and Sick Leave The Executive shall be entitled to paid annual vacation leave in accordance with the policies as established from time to time by the Board of Directors, which shall in no event be less than four weeks per annum. The Executive shall also be entitled to an annual sick leave benefit as established by the Board for senior management employees of the Bank. The Executive shall not be entitled to receive any additional compensation from the Bank for failure to take a vacation or sick leave, nor shall he be able to accumulate unused vacation or sick leave from one year to the next; provided, however, such Executive may carry forward from year to year a maximum of ten days of unused vacation leave.

  • Union Training Leave 46.1 An Employee elected as Union Delegate shall, upon application in writing to the Employer, be granted up to five days paid leave each calendar year to attend relevant Union Delegate courses. Such courses shall be designed and structured with the objective of promoting good industrial relations within the building and construction industry.
