Release Days. Bargaining unit employees not typically scheduled to work on student release days may be scheduled to work on release days at the discretion of the Principal or Supervisor. If not scheduled for work, employees will be required to attend any job- related professional development opportunities offered by the District.
Release Days. When release days are provided in the calendar by the Board for in-service, employees' total planning time, including pre- and post-planning, shall not be materially reduced because of the implementation of the release days. The Professional Development Plan referred to in #2 above shall include plans for the professional activities for early release days.

Release Days. 3.10.1.1 Special Education Classroom Teachers with a caseload of at least one (1) student but no more than twelve (12) students shall receive five (5) on-campus release days per year. 3.10.1.2 Special Education Classroom Teachers with a caseload of more than twelve (12) students shall receive ten (10) on- campus release days per year. 3.10.1.3 Release days shall be used to prepare IEPs, write reports, collect data, meet with teachers regarding student performance, and other related IEP duties. 3.10.1.4 Requests for release days shall be submitted to the Principal or their designee via an electronic submission system (as determined by the Principal) at least 5 workdays prior to the requested release day. Requests shall be approved, unless the unit member is notified their request is denied within three workdays. Any such denial shall be accompanied by three (3) alternate dates on which the release day may be taken. Release days shall not be taken consecutively. 3.10.2.5 Release days shall not accrue from year-to-year. Unused release days are forfeited at the end of the school year.
Release Days a. Advisory teachers shall be awarded four (4) classroom release days and Senior Advisory teachers shall be awarded five (5) classroom release days to fulfill related duties, including but not limited to: i. Directly observing students in classes; ii. Providing one-on-one academic advising to students; iii. Facilitating parent and teacher communications and meeting during school hours; and, iv. Developing curriculum to be used in University preparation classes. b. Department chairs shall be awarded four (4) classroom release days per year to fulfill related duties. c. Department Representatives listed in Appendix B, except the Library Representative, shall be awarded one classroom release day per year to fulfill related duties. The Middle School ASB Advisor shall be awarded one classroom release day per year to fulfill related duties. d. Scheduling of release days shall be at the sole discretion of the University.
Release Days a. The District has determined that it is in its benefit and its best interests to employ and pay the salary of a certificated staff person to perform the job duties listed below on behalf of District certified employees and the District. This person who shall perform the duties listed will be the Association President (or his or her designee if that individual is absent). Attend school board meetings as an advocate and advisor for teacher and certified employee-relevant issues. 4. Attend Administrative Council Meetings, Extended Cabinet, Superintendent Council Meetings and other relevant meetings and trainings to help develop skills and to gain understanding in order to contribute to the success of critical district processes and initiatives. 5. Assist teachers and certified employees in their awareness of district processes, procedures and initiatives in order to ensure the successful implementation of such. 6. Release Days. 1. The Governing Board agrees to grant a total of 50 release days to the Association President or other Association representatives as designated by the Association President to conduct Association business. If the DEA President is a high school teacher (grades 9-12) he/she shall be provided with one high school period per day to conduct association business. If the DEA President is a K-8 teacher, he/she shall be provided one release day per week to conduct association business. 2. In addition to the release time provided above, the District shall authorize the half-time release of the DEA President to perform activities of a quasi-personnel officer nature.
Release Days. A. Elementary school level teachers will be granted two one-half (1/2) day release periods in each of those marking periods where scheduled conferences with parents are required by the administration. Additional released time may be scheduled by the Superintendent. Teachers will be required to schedule sufficient time for afternoon and evening meetings to accommodate the parents’ choice as to conference hour.
Release Days. 1. All contractual release days shall still be provided. Teachers will provide asynchronous assignments for the day. A substitute shall provide a morning Google Meet in elementary school for purposes of attendance, review of the daily schedule/expectations, and instruction to support learning. For EAT and upper grade release days, grade levels will make every attempt to take their release days on the same day to allow the classes to share the same substitute and minimize the number of substitutes required by the District to cover the release days. Special Education unit members shall coordinate with their site administrator(s) for their release days.
Release Days i. Fridays shall revert to our current collective bargaining agreement in Article 8 Section 1.F.2.C. There will be weekly early releases (60 minutes) on Fridays, with the exception of existing early release days. Early releases will begin the first Friday school day of September. The Friday early releases will be for individual, collaborative, PLC, and professional development work. The time shall be split with fifty percent (50%) individual teacher directed and fifty percent (50%) building, and District directed. Each week shall alternate between teacher directed and District directed time. The one optional PID day shall continue in this Agreement. ii. The first two District directed Fridays, after the implementation of hybrid in‐ person instruction, may be from 1:30 to 3:25. After the first two District directed Fridays, the current contract language in paragraph i. above will be in effect. This applies to Elementary staff only. iii. The District shall provide building directed time for the purpose of completing District required training in compliance with Board policy/procedure, state or federal law or other District mandated training.
