Sick Leave Bank Committee. The Bank will be operated on a voluntary basis. A committee shall be formed to administer the Bank. This committee shall be empowered to adopt rules and regulations and make decisions required to administer the Sick Leave Bank, so long as those rules, regulations, and decisions do not modify the agreement contained herein. This committee will be titled the "Sick Leave Bank Committee" (hereafter referred to as the SBC). The SBC shall be composed of the following persons:
Sick Leave Bank Committee a. The Sick Leave Bank Committee will consist of two (2) Administrators, two (2) members of NESPA and two (2) members of NTA, one of which shall be selected as Chairman by vote or lot. The chairmanship shall rotate yearly. Each participating group may change its respective participants at any time for cause, or by request to withdraw. All other changes in participants shall take place annually on the anniversary date of the Sick Leave Bank. The function of the committee shall be to operate the Sick Leave Bank effectively, economically and fairly.
Sick Leave Bank Committee. The committee shall consist of two members of the administration, appointed by the Superintendent, and two members of the bargaining unit, appointed by the President of the Association. The President of the Association will act as chairperson of this committee and will have no voting power except in the event of a tie vote by the committee.
Sick Leave Bank Committee. The sick leave bank shall be administered by a Sick Leave Bank Committee consisting of four (4) persons designated by the Board to serve at its discretion and four (4) persons designated by CSU-AAUP to serve at its discretion. The Sick Leave Bank Committee shall determine the eligibility for the use of the bank and the amount of leave to be granted. The following criteria shall be used by the committee in administering the bank and determining the eligibility and the amount of leave:
Sick Leave Bank Committee. The Sick Leave Bank Committee shall consist of four (4) union members (one member from each classification) designated by the President of the Local and two (2) representatives appointed by the Superintendent. The Bank Committee shall consider individual requests for the donation of sick leave from the Sick Leave Bank and submit a written recommendation to the Superintendent. The recommendation shall include determination of whether or not the criteria for the donation of sick leave set forth in the section have been satisfied. A separate Bank Committee may design for each individual request as terminated by the Superintendent and the Local President.
Sick Leave Bank Committee. At the beginning of each school year, the Exclusive Representative will elect a sick leave bank committee. At that time, all non- participating teachers who wish to participate in the established sick leave bank will be assessed one day of sick leave. Participating teachers who exhaust their personal, accumulated sick leave allowance due to an extended illness may be allowed necessary withdrawals from the common bank. The sick leave committee shall have the power to accept or reject any requests for additional sick leave days. Every teacher requesting sick leave from the bank must wait five days before receiving any sick leave. If at any time during the school year the bank does not contain sufficient days, each participating teacher must contribute one more sick leave day. A participating teacher who has utilized sick leave credit from the sick leave bank shall repay those days credited. The first year following a withdrawal, a teacher shall repay four days. In the following years, the indebted teacher may not accumulate more than 10 days until his/her debt to the bank is paid in full. A teacher may withdraw from participation in the sick leave bank at the beginning of any school year. In case of such withdrawal, a teacher's contributed days will remain in the bank. Sick Leave Bank Committee. The Board of School Trustees of the Nettle Creek School Corporation shall be the administering agent of the sick leave bank. A Sick Leave Bank Committee shall be formed annually to assist the board in administering the sick leave bank. This committee shall consist of two (2) persons appointed by the board and one (1) person appointed by the association. The board shall appoint one (1) board member and one (1) administrator (other than the superintendent) as its representatives on the sick leave bank committee. Appointments to the Sick Leave Bank Committee shall be made in writing to the superintendent not later than the end of the first school day which occurs during the initial week of the school year.
Sick Leave Bank Committee. The SLB Committee consists of three HCEA members named by the HCEA President and three representatives of HCPS named by the Superintendent. Daily administration of the SLB is the responsibility of the HCEA office staff and the HCEA President. All forms for application for participation in the Bank, grant request forms, and cancellation shall be available at the HCEA office, the Harford County Public School Human Resources office, and at each school office. These forms shall be sent to any eligible employee and/or member at his/her request.
Sick Leave Bank Committee. All applications will be reviewed by the Sick Leave Bank Committee which comprises a minimum of two (2) members from both Administration and the Union.
