Signed this day of , FOR HOSPITAL FOR THE ASSOCIATION OF UNDERSTANDING Between: And: VICTORIA HOSPITAL CORPORATION ONTARIO NURSES' ASSOCIATION Reference: Job Sharing If the Hospital agrees to a job-sharing arrangement pursuant to Article of the Central Agreement, the following conditions shall apply unless otherwise agreed to by the parties: Job sharing requests with regard to full-time positions shall be considered on an individual basis. Total hours worked by the job sharers shall equal one full-time position. The division of these hours on the schedule shall be determined by mutual agreement between the two nurses and the Nurse Manager of the Unit. The above schedules shall conform with the scheduling provisions of the Full-time Appendix of Local Provisions. Each job sharer may exchange shifts with her partner, as well as with other nurses as provided by the Collective Agreement. The job sharers involved will have the right to determine which partner works on scheduled paid holidays and job sharers shall only be required to work the number of paid holidays that a full-time nurse would be required to work. It is expected that both job sharers will cover each other's incidental illnesses. If, because of unavoidable circumstances, one cannot cover the other, the unit supervisor must be notified. Job sharers are not required to cover for their partner in the case of prolonged or extended absences. Vacation, Maternity Leave and other leaves pursuant to Article of the Central Collective In the event that one member of the job sharing arrangement goes on any of the above leaves of absence, the coverage will be negotiated with the Nurse Manager, but it is hoped that the remaining member of the position would be prepared to cover the leave of absence as much as possible. Where job sharers agree to cover for each other's vacation, they should not be included in any vacation quota. Where the job sharing arrangement arises out of the filling of a vacant full-time position, both job sharing positions will be posted and selection will be based on the criteria set out in the Collective Agreement. Scrub Gowns. Scrub Gowns and uniforms will be provided and maintained in aseptic areas such as surgery and isolation areas. Cooks will be provided outer aprons necessary for protection of their normal working garments. Maintenance personnel will be provided covering for their normal working garments when required to do unusually grimy work. The Hospital will make available protective clothing (smocks and/or coveralls) for use by employees in the Housekeeping department when they are assigned to tasks that are unusually dirty. Goggles and gloves will be furnished where appropriate. Separability. There is no intent by either party to transgress any federal, state or local laws of any nature whatsoever, and no provisions herein shall be executed if found to be a transgression of said laws; however, the remaining clauses shall remain in full force and effect.

  • One-Way Interconnection Trunks 2.3.1 Where the Parties have agreed to use One-Way Interconnection Trunks for the delivery of traffic from PCS to Verizon, PCS, at PCS’s own expense, shall:

  • Traffic Measurement and Billing over Interconnection Trunks 6.1 For billing purposes, each Party shall pass Calling Party Number (CPN) information on at least ninety-five percent (95%) of calls carried over the Interconnection Trunks.

  • Dark Fiber Loop 2.8.4.1 Dark Fiber Loop is an unused optical transmission facility, without attached signal regeneration, multiplexing, aggregation or other electronics, from the demarcation point at an End User’s premises to the End User’s serving wire center. Dark Fiber Loops may be strands of optical fiber existing in aerial or underground structure. BellSouth will not provide line terminating elements, regeneration or other electronics necessary for AFN to utilize Dark Fiber Loops.

  • Two-Way Interconnection Trunks 2.4.1 Where the Parties have agreed to use Two-Way Interconnection Trunks for the exchange of traffic between Verizon and VarTec, VarTec shall order from Verizon, and Verizon shall provide, the Two-Way Interconnection Trunks and the Entrance Facility, on which such Trunks will ride, and transport and multiplexing, in accordance with the rates, terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement and Verizon’s applicable Tariffs.

  • Dark Fiber 8.1 Subject to the conditions set forth in Section 1 of this Attachment and upon request by CBB, Verizon shall provide CBB with access to unbundled Dark Fiber Loops, Dark Fiber Sub-Loops and Dark Fiber IOF in accordance with, and subject to, the rates, terms and conditions provided in the Pricing Attachment and rates, terms and conditions of Verizon’s applicable Tariffs. Access to unbundled Dark Fiber Loops, Dark Fiber Sub-Loops and Dark Fiber IOF will be provided by Verizon only where existing facilities are available. Access to Dark Fiber Loops, Dark Fiber Sub-Loops and Dark Fiber IOF will be provided in accordance with, but only to the extent required by, Applicable Law. Dark Fiber Loops, Dark Fiber Sub-Loops and Dark Fiber IOF consist of Verizon optical transmission facilities without attached multiplexers, aggregation or other electronics. To the extent Verizon’s Dark Fiber Loops, Dark Fiber Sub-Loops and Dark Fiber IOF contain any lightwave repeaters (e.g., regenerators or optical amplifiers) installed thereon, Verizon shall not remove the same. Except as otherwise required by Applicable Law, the following terms and conditions apply to Verizon's Dark Fiber offerings.

  • Interconnection Point The Service Provider is responsible for connecting to the LFC Network at the Interconnection Point. The provisioning and engineering of such services and facilities will comply with generally accepted industry methods and practices, and will observe the rules and regulations of the lawfully established tariffs applicable to the services provided.

  • Access Toll Connecting Trunk Group Architecture 9.2.1 If CBB chooses to subtend a Verizon access Tandem, CBB’s NPA/NXX must be assigned by CBB to subtend the same Verizon access Tandem that a Verizon NPA/NXX serving the same Rate Center Area subtends as identified in the LERG.

  • SS7 Network Interconnection 9.7.1 SS7 Network Interconnection is the interconnection of Global Connection local signaling transfer point switches or Global Connection local or tandem switching systems with BellSouth signaling transfer point switches. This interconnection provides connectivity that enables the exchange of SS7 messages among BellSouth switching systems and databases, Global Connection local or tandem switching systems, and other third-party switching systems directly connected to the XxxxXxxxx XX0 network.
