The Community and its Member States, of the one part, and the ACP States, of the other part, hereinafter referred to as the "Parties" hereby conclude this Agreement in order to promote and expedite the economic, cultural and social development of the ACP States, with a view to contributing to peace and security and to promoting a stable and democratic political environment. The partnership shall provide a coherent support framework for the development strategies adopted by each ACP State. Sustained economic growth, developing the private sector, increasing employment and improving access to productive resources shall all be part of this framework. Support shall be given to the respect of the rights of the individual and meeting basic needs, the promotion of social development and the conditions for an equitable distribution of the fruits of growth. Regional and sub regional integration processes which xxxxxx the integration of the ACP countries into the world economy in terms of trade and private investment shall be encouraged and supported. Building the capacity of the actors in development and improving the institutional framework necessary for social cohesion, for the functioning of a democratic society and market economy, and for the emergence of an active and organised civil society shall be integral to the approach. Systematic account shall be taken of the situation of women and gender issues in all areas - political, economic and social. The principles of sustainable management of natural resources and the environment, including climate change, shall be applied and integrated at every level of the partnership.

Objectives of the partnership. 4.1 The Partnership’s overall objective is to facilitate sustainable residential development whilst ensuring compliance with the Habitats Regulations through securing appropriate developer contributions towards a programme of mitigation. Participation in the developer contribution scheme (as detailed at Appendix 1) is optional. The parties designed this project in answer to the call for projects from Movetia, the Swiss National Agency for Exchange and Mobility, within the frame of its International mobility programme outside Europe.

All Partners in the “Capacity Building in Higher Education for an improved co-operation between the EU and SA in the field of Development Studies (EUSA_ID)” project agree to promote “Mobility Activities” (exchange of persons, knowledge and skills) in order to account for the enrichment of societies and a better understanding between the EU and South Africa by enhancing the international co-operation capacity and scope of higher education institutions in South Africa and Europe and by contributing to the development of appropriate skills of South African and European individuals in the field of Development Studies, especially in regard of the labour market, preventing brain drain at the same time. The Mobility Activities promoted are: • Mobility of South African Master students and PhD candidates to Europe, • mobility of European PhD candidates to South Africa, and • mobility of South African academic and administrative staff to Europe. The cooperation of the Consortium includes all Departments declared by the Partner Universities and includes the exchange of staff and students as well as information on the respective academic programmes and the support of joint research activities. All Partners will do their best to enable the participation of students/staff in research programmes/ teaching.
Objectives of the partnership. The objectives of the partnership are to provide effective partnership working in order to enable the Restorative Justice Officers to perform the necessary duties in accordance with the Police Officer's instruction, namely to contact, interview and ascertain the victim's views on Restorative Justice upon the young offender. This agreement will allow the designated Restorative Justice Officer within the YOT to operate as first point of contact for the YOT to the victim. It will now streamline the process by collecting these details direct from the Victim Support Desk in the Crime Management Unit at Bromley Police Station. The Code of Practice for Victims of Crime, which governs the provision of services for victims of criminal conduct within the Criminal Justice System, will be complied with by the YOT staff, who will have regular contact with victims.
